For volume 20 of the Breathecast, we’ve requested the help of long-time party instigator, seasoned scene-head and uninhibited vinyl purist 751 aka Jelle Hamstra from The Hague.

Having spent many years playing at the likes of Dekmantel Selectors, Lente Kabinet, and Rewire Festival, Jelle has always taken the time he needs to mix, record, dig and ingest good music.

As part of the formation of his expansive record collection, he has developed linking notions and a definitive understanding of house, minimal, electro and everything these genres allude to. Combining the obscure and underexposed with dancefloor knowledge as he has studied and come to understand it, Jelle has become a respected selector in the clubs & scenes he has long traversed.

After accumulating years of experience working in the industry as an A&R for various record labels, 751 has turned his attention to his own imprint, Tonal Oceans, which focuses on highlighting lesser-known, limited press releases.

Open your ears and subvert your mind, prepare for incredible tracks you won’t know but a deluge of sounds you will love.

As the summer dust settles and club season beckons, delicate sound waves seep their way into the Omniverse, coming straight from the heart of the Netherlands: Zaltbommel. ⁣

For our 19th issue of the Breathecast, DJ Zaltbommel steps forth into the fray with an intelligent selection of contagious house gems. Tobias (known for his ever-lasting smile) effectuates his greatest sonic pleasure by discovering records from the so-called less ‘fruitful’ years of electronic music and paying them the unremembered respect they deserve, whilst also digging deep and distinctively into the inimitable sounds of the 90s.⁣
⁣
Zaltbommel has also been sharpening his proverbial sword in the studio of late, drawing artistic inspiration in particular from Lucio Dalla, who was a master at effortlessly adapting to different genres from jazz to dance music and obsequiously intertwining their different characteristics. ⁣
⁣
So, we implore you to keep those eyes peeled for Zaltbommel’s future releases, but in the meantime lend an ear to this impeccably thoughtful and mood-provoking podcast. Nesting beautifully together like a set of Russian Dolls, this one makes it so god damn hard to remove yourself from the groove.

The Breathecast is back with a voguish new feel thanks to badman, Bdon 🎨

For our 17th Edition, we’re excessively excited to feature a bespoke cocktail of club ready nectar from Samuel Padden’s Collection.

Sam’s distinct stylings and canny solo productions have seen him weave a path through the underground circuits of the UK and onto the dancefloors of the wider-world. Despite it being an obviously rough time for the industry, Padden has spent his recent time wisely, with releases on Nugs On Board , Sol Asylum and an impending release courtesy of Tone Dropout x Childhood intelligence soon to drop.

This accomplished pair have produced some of the most sought after white labels around via their edit orientated Persies and REPSIES imprints whilst their other outlet Top Pocket Records is fast gaining a reputation for consistently releasing high calibre dance floor (non-patio) heaters.

We have returned from the void. Reinvigorated and hungry as ever, the Breathecast monster emerges from pastures long trodden to bring you Episode 015. Grabbing our proverbial beast by the horns is our good friend and all-round legend, the Welsh whiz known as Tywi.

Über mature beyond his neophyte years, Tywi already fronts a hugely successful label and event series called Haŵs and as if that wasn’t enough to occupy his inexplicable schedule he’s also recently started his own booking agency, ‘Liquid Paradise’. With the world swiftly becoming his lobster, Tywi somehow managed to find the time to supply us with a stellar mix loaded with bing bonging bombs.

Look out for new music from Tywi in 2022 but in the meantime make sure to channel his musical musings via this superbly concocted amalgamation of cutting-edge heaters. It would pair well with an Irish coffee in case you were wondering…..now hurry up and avert your ears, the cosmic mixologist awaits.

We’re not sure if it’s the crisp, hardware driven productions or the impromptu appearances of his elusive facial hair that make Harrison BDP the revered artist he is today (only joking, it's definitely the tunes). What we DO know for certain is that he has compiled a tactful, vinyl only concoction of pure magic for the 12th edition of our mix series.

Uninhibited studious fervour at the helm of his sonic spaceship has led to the Welshman releasing on labels like Shall Not Fade, Berg Audio, Haŵs, STRCTR RECORDS and Phonica Records to name but a few. Brimming with luscious basslines and scintillating pads, it’s hard to not be captivated by this playa’s music. His contribution to the Breathecast has truly lifted our sullen spirits and as brief glimmers of blue sky start to cut through the grey gloom, HBDP’s selection helps to alleviate the relentless cravings for the return of sun-splattered ravey days.

Crack open a cool, refreshing beverage and a big ol’ bag of mustachio nuts and settle in for the next hour with our old pal. Tracklist to follow....honest 🧐

Our resolution for 2021: Bring more quality music to your ears.

We kick start the year with none other than Metropolitan Soul Museum, the dynamic London based duo who are strolling into 2021 with some serious swag. Having recently released a beautifully composed collab with Alt.Aire on Yellow Island, we are chuffed to announce they are following up with an equally impressive entry into the Breathecast.

It's always a pleasure to have an old friend on the series, and it's even better when they supply primo goods. Filippo and Nick have certainly not stood on ceremony during this ungodly halt on Planet Earth. Amidst chaos they have found inspiration for a surge of forthcoming releases on esteemed imprints Public Release, Step Recordings and features on VAs for both SlothBoogie and Innate. Keep a close eye on this pair.
