A petition from one of the Supervisors in Ukanafun Local government Area who pleads anonymity has it that the Executive Chairman of Ukanafun Local government Area Hon ( Pst ) Godwin Matthew Inyieng has withdrawn the sum of 12.5million naira from the account of the Local government Area allegedly on your orders.

The Petition has it that on the 6th of November 2023 the Executive Chairman of Ukanafun Local government Area Hon Pst Godwin Matthew Inyieng convened an FGPC meeting in his office at the Council office Ikot Akpa Nkuk where he intimated his EXCO that you have mandated all the Local Government Chairmen whose local government you are to inaugurate The One Project per Local Government initiative to make available the sum of 18.5million ( eighteen million and five hundred thousand ) naira for entertainment and logistics. It is said that when the Chairman made it clear that he would withdraw the said sum ,the supervisors objected and also made the demand to be paid one million ( #1,000,000.00 ) naira each before they will give approval for the withdrawal of the said amount . Hell was let loose when the trio of Secretary of Council Mr Mfreke Elijah , Treasurer of Council Mr Christian Akpan and the Director of Works Engr Livingstone stood up to support the Chairman against the desire of the Supervisors and they were beaten blue black and the meeting ended in fiasco .

On the 7th of November 2023 the Chairman Hon Pst Godwin Matthew Inyieng convened another meeting at his Ikot Akpan Abia residence where he agreed to pay the sum of 300,000 ( three hundred thousand ) naira each to the nine Supervisors,Vice Chairman and Secretary of Council and the deal was sealed as everyone was to be a beneficiary of the loot .

The Petition has it that yesterday the Chairman ordered the transfer of the sum of 12.5million ( twelve million and five hundred thousand) naira to the account of the Council Secretary Mr Mfreke Elijah which is to be withdrawn and given to the Chairman. That same yesterday the Chairman ordered the immediate transfer of 200,000.00 ( two hundred thousand) naira each to the nine ( 9 ) Supervisors ,the Vice Chairman, the Secretary of Council and all the ranking civil Servants in the Local Government Council .

On this note we call on the Governor of the State to call the Executive Chairman of Ukanafun to immediately refund those monies back to the Council account with the next 48 hours or we won't hesitate to drag him to the EFCC ( Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ) as our legal department are already on the process.

WIKE'S REVELATIONS: UDOM IN SECRET MOVES TO DISCOUNT $664M
......promises ₦56B Commission to Commercial Bank

Following the strong and massive revelation by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State on the funds remitted by the Buhari led Federal Government to Akwa Ibom State as part of the State's thirteen percent derivation funds, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has been alleged to have approached a commercial bank, seeking to discount the sum of $664M, amounting to ₦248B.

Notably, the lump sum which is the accumulated outstanding shortfall of derivation from 1999 to 2018 was implemented by the Federal Ministry of Finance with a spread installmental payment of over 60 months since the country’s treasury cannot afford such a huge payout at once.

A top officer of the Bank who volunteered this information to our reporter while pleading annonymity said, the Governor has agreed to pay the Commercial Bank the sum of ₦56B as Commission if the deal sails through.

The action of the State's Chief Executive was received with rude shock as feelers from the State Ministry of Finance and office of the State Accountant General have all claimed ignorance of the move.

It was learnt that the Governor being a financial expert intends to discount the funds so that it will be easy for the money to be channeled into private pockets as it will make more meaning especially when the cash is set to be moved into private purses.

But an inside source in the office of the Accountant General hinted our reporters that the move by the Governor to discount the money is fraudulent, ungodly and very unskilled by a Governor noting that the rate at which funds are being siphoned under the watch and directive of the State Governor is a diservice to the economy of Akwa Ibom State, adding that if successive governments had fingered the State resources and funds like it is done under the Governor's watch, Akwa Ibom State would have been thrown into a state of financial coma.

Our source querried the State Government's decision to make such schewed moves as if the money is his personal property.

Meanwhile, the $2.56billion which is the largest chunk of the money was for both Rivers and Akwa Ibom states.

The AG office argued that discounting the funds without a thorough legislative protocol is not only barbaric, but a clear indication that the Governor is all out to bleed the finances of the state as he winds down his tenure.

Meanwhile, a former Commissioner for Economic development in the State has described the allege move by the Governor as being insensitive, economically abusive and an indication that the Governor is taking the State for a ride as according to him, no macro or micro economy in the World supports or promotes such financial rascality.

The Ex Commissioner argued also that Governor Emmanuel should rather use the percentage he intends to pay to the commercial bank to pay off gratuities and complete ongoing projects as the move to discount the money is nothing but an abuse of office and finacial impropriety unheard of in a modern day economy that will only make one man richer than the entire state.

He described further the action of the Governor as a very sadistic approach to governance.

Governor Udom Emmanuel has vowed to silence every perceived opposition against the installation of pastor Umo Eno as his successor.

Udom Emmanuel was said to have boasted to some his of kitchen cabinet members that he has succeeded in silencing Akan Okon, Akan Udofia and Senator Godswill Akpabio, and assured them that he has settled the Judge to convict Senator Bassey Albert on the alleged money laundering case with EFCC.

The Governor was said to have declared to his allies that the only Governorship opposition that will challenge Umo Eno at the polls which he described as ‘lifeless' is Senator John Udoedehe.

He said Udoedehe lacks the political prowess to garner a good number of votes that will spring surprise in the electoral system.

Our source who was part of the meeting alleged that the Governor disclosed to them that he has concluded plans to send the sum of five Billion naira equivalent in dollars cash to Justice Agatha Okeke in order to swing judgment against Senator Bassey Albert.

It can be recalled that prior to the ruling on the case of certificate scandal of Pastor Umo Eno, Udom was alleged to have succeeded in bribing the presiding judge, Justice Agatha Okeke with the sum of five hundred million naira and bullet proof SUV to sway the case on technicalities in favour of Umo Eno.

Findings by our investigative team has it that as at two week, Governor Udom Emmanuel had dispatched a team led by Engr Uwem Okoko and one joe who purchase two billet proof SUV with the mandate to meet with the judge and present the offer from the state government to her.

One of the bullet proof SUV the source added was given to Umo Eno Governorship State campaign co-ordinator .It was discovered that the team made several attempts to see the female judge but was not possible as the woman had expressly declared that the case is bad one and was not within her power to help Pastor Umo Eno.

Our source also said that Justice Agatha Okeke rejected all offers from the state government until Thursday afternoon last week when she gave in because of pressure from other senior judges and powers that be, directing her to dismiss the case on technical grounds.

Justice Okeke was said to have received the sum of five hundred million naira in cash and bullet proof SUV from the Governor Udom Emmanuel through her husband who acted as her front .

"The Governor succeeded in using other judges to get across to Justice Agatha Okeke. The judge was instructed to dismiss the case on technicalities in favour of Pastor Umo Eno.

" If you observed , few days before judgment, government officials were moody until a day to the judgment when Engr Uwem Okoko-led bribe team succeeded in passing across the sum of five hundred million naira and a bulletproof SUV to the justice through her assigned proxy.

"After that they were confidence that the case would be decided in their favour, reason you saw Governor's aides engaging in frenzy before the judgment." Our source said.

It can be recalled that Mr. Akan Okon had dragged the PDP Governorship candidate to court over forged certificate and voter's card, demanding the court to declare him as the authentic winner of the PDP primaries in the state.

The case had remained in court for months and was decided on Friday 11 November, 2022 in favour of Udom for Umo Eno.

Meanwhile,a Socio -Political group in the State, Akwa Ibom Democrats for Justice has embarked on a move to petition Justice Okeke to the NJC. According to the President of the group,Chief Rufus Adiaumoh, It is no longer hidden that Justice Okeke is in the pockets of the Akwa Ibom State Governor and as such, Judgements are bought in his favour.

"As a people,we can't sit down and watch this miscarriage of Justice going on in this State hence the decision to act now as Akwa Ibom is the only State we have" he said.

GOVERNOR EMMANUEL IN LAST MINUTES RUSH TO SAVE UMO ENO, COURT FIXES NOVEMBER 11 FOR JUDGMENT

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, is in a last minutes rush to save Mr. Umo Eno, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, who is standing trial for alleged forgery.

Mr. Eno is standing trial at the Federal High Court Uyo, for alleged falsification of his educational certificate, voter’s card and birth records.

An aspirant for the May 25th PDP governorship primary, Mr. Akan Okon, former Commissioner for Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport in the state, in suit number, FHC/UY/CS/110/2022 before Justice Agatha Okeke, had asked the court to disqualify Eno for filing forged documents for the contest.

The presiding judge, Justice Okeke had on Friday 14th October announced November 28 as tentative date for judgement on the case.

However, earlier last week, the court in a notice to parties fixed Friday 11th November for judgment on the case.

Mr. Emmanuel who announced Eno as his preferred successor in January 2022, is said to be running around to save his candidate from being booted out of the governorship race.

Sources who spoke on strict confidence to our reporter said the governor has reached out to many influential contacts across the country to help him save Eno from being sacked by the Court.

One of the sources said, “the Governor cannot sit and watch the Court sack Umo Eno. Of late he has been jittery and no longer at ease with people surrounding him. He has been travelling out of the state more frequently of late reaching out to influential people across the country in a bid to save the situation.”

“The Governor knows that Umo Eno had a very bad case and he is aware that if he leaves it to the drama that the defence lawyers staged in the court, Umo Eno will be gone and that will be a huge blow to him especially the fact that he said God revealed Umo Eno to him”, the source added.

Opposition political parties in the state have taken due advantage of the alleged forgery case lampooning Eno, the PDP and Governor Emmanuel, faulting the Governor’s integrity and claim to excellence in the unfolding allegation in the case of multiple forgery.

Campaigning across the State, the Young Progressives Congress had in song challenged Umo Eno to bring his credentials if he wants to be governor.

However, the opposition parties are also said to be banking on the governor to pull through with Umo Eno’s case so that they can drag Eno to Court after the election.

The People of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area have promised candidate of the Young Progressives Congress, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan of their determination to ensure that they ignore the political colouration of their Paramount Ruler Ntenyin Somon Etuk and vote for the YPP Candidate's emergence come governorship election, 2023.

Nsit Ubium people stated this during a campaign of wards by the YPP guber candidate on Thursday. Mrs. Glory Uboho, Chief Manasseh Jackson, Owoh black, Usen Okoko and a former Chapter Chairman of the PDP amongst others made the assurance decrying the cold treatment the Monarch gave to the guber candidate and the YPP family when Senator Albert paid a consultative visit to him at his Palace in Nsit Ubium

OBA promised to dualize the Enen Nsit road backed by state of the Arts aesthetics with streetlights. And also promised to construct and dualize Ndiya road to Mkpat Enin insisting that his intention is to ensure he links Akwa Ibom Communities together.

Speaking further, Senator Albert promised to make many millionaires from Nsit Ubium which he described as a Community with high intellectuals blessed with enterprising spirits. Factors he said will cause the rapid growth of Nsit Ubium and her people.

Senator Albert who was earlier praised for allowing Nsit Ubium people to benefit and enjoy his Scholarship schemes reminded the people of his determination towards ensuring that he provides an up to date Health facility per 1KM radius accross the State.

That Shameful Deceit of Udom Emmanuel‘s Administration

We are aware but shocked that Governor Udom Emmanuel listed the Palm Oil Processing Depot at Ukana West in Essien Udim Local Government Area for commissioning on October 4, 2022, as part of the events marking the 35th anniversary of Akwa Ibom State. Even more perplexing is the fact that, in line with his character, claimed to have constructed the Palm Oil Depot, which was actually started by the Late Obong Friday Etuk when he was the local government chairman in mid 90s and completed through the singular effort of the Essien Udim Cooperative Society. There has been no input from government.

For Udom Emmanuel to include the project as initiated and completed by his administration is basically a huge deciet and attempt to scam our people. This is quite sad and disappointing, despite the unprecedented support the people of Essien Udim accorded the Governor during his second term campaign. We are sad that even in the last seven and a half years, no single road has been constructed in Essien Udim.

Clearly, Udom has only disdain and ingratitude for Essien Udim, despite the fact that an illustrious Essien Udim son made him who he is today in politics. He was a nobody in politics when the then Governor Godswill Akpabio brought him into government, first as SSG and thereafter as the Governor. Akpabio had to beg a lot of people, burn bridges and made a lot of compromises, in the hope that Udom will have the character and integrity to deliver people-oriented projects.

It is terribly sad that for seven and half years, Udom Emmanuel has not done ANY project in Essien Udim. This sham commissioning is exactly what it is: a mockery of Essien Udim people who even in 2018 stood by Udom, despite the defection of their son, Godswill Akpabio to APC. Alas! Ingratitude has no better name than Udom!

To further weaken and cause disaffection in Essien Udim, Udom has craftily re-zoned the House of Assembly seat meant for the Essien Annang axis of Essien Udim to his hatchet man - Prince Ukpong Akpabio. Yet, this is a man who preaches justice but dispenses injustice. This is a man who sings peace but instigates violence.

Last year, Mr Emmanuel had commissioned a private rice processing mill, claiming it as part of his administration’s projects. Unfortunately, that private company only engages in bagging of rice rather than processing!

Also, in 2021, several blocks of classrooms were included as part of Interministerial Direct Labour Projects commissioned by the Governor within Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, only to discovered that most of the projects supposedly handled by his in-law, Sampson Idiong, were nonexistent.

Udom’s hatred for our Senatorial District is quite appaling. That was why he mischievous abandoned the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at Ikot Ekpene, which was fully completed before his tenure. Barr Emmanuel Enoidem who supervised the building and furnishing of the hotel cannot deny these facts. Engr Etido Inyang who was the special adviser on projects cannot deny this. Nor can Engr Oliver Ebong who was the consultant and who today manages most of Udom's companies including VKS cannot also deny this. We know that if this hotel was located at Awa, Udom Emmanuel would have put it to use.

Udom has laid claims to various industries, can he and his minions point to any in Ikot Ekpene senatorial district? Where is the much hyped rice mill at Ini located for instance, and where can the product be found in the market other than the rebagged ones brought in to deceive the people?

It is quite sad that Ika local government area had the longest serving Attorney General in the history of Akwa Ibom who is still doing a yeoman job for Udom Emmanuel. Yet, there is no semblance of even a magistrate court in Ika.

Oruk Anam prides itself as the home of Udom’s wife, the leader of the state legislature, Commissioners, etc. But can Udom point to any meaningful project therein Oruk Anam today that he has executed and commissioned?

How about Abak, home of Mr stabilizer, home of a house of representatives member and many more? When history is written about this government, what will Mr. Moses Ekpo point to as his achievement for Abak, Annang and Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district during his 8 years tenure as the number 2 citizen of the state? We cannot even mention Ukanafun, the home of the state chairman of PDP, Rt Hon Aniekan Akpan.

What of the series of unfulfilled promises to groups, organisations including churches in the Senatorial district? Five years down the line, Ati Annang is yet to access the publicly announced 15m to help complete their secretariat. Yet, the then president, current president, BoT chairman and the current PDP chairman, MPM chairman and other prominent Annang sons and daughters who are members of that foremost Annang organisation have been consistent supporters of his administration.

The good news is that the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District are now political conscious. They are tired of deceits and blind folds. In response to Udom’s insensitivity to the feelings of the masses and for the continuous deception of the people, the masses have resolved to help push the wish of God for Akwa Ibom. The Scripture tells us that the wish of God towards us is that of good and not of evil. In 2023, our people, specifically and Akwa Ibom in general, will not receive any “evil gift”. They will take their destinies in their hands and no scammer will deceive them again!

Onofiok Luke, the Okocha on his swindling move again

Akwa Ibom people, especially ardent followers of the former Speaker and House of Representatives member, Barr. Onofiok Akpan Luke, few months ago were thrown into a surprise party of disappointment over the decision of the lawmaker to throw in the towel and support his ‘certificateless’ kinsman, Pastor Umo Eno as Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Akwa Ibom State.

It can be recalled that Onofiok Luke fondly called Okocha, had elected himself to contest for Governorship election in the PDP. He bought form, launched his campaign blueprint and vowed to clinch the party ticket. The teeming Akwa Ibom youths queued behind him and like the Biblical Ruth who entreated Noami to allow her go back with her, Akwa Ibom youths vowed to follow Onofiok Luke to the end. Like the political Messiah, he was admired, cherished, defended and loved.

Many of his followers cut their long standing relationships with their political godfathers because of Onofiok Luke’s ambition. His followers were liken to “Obidient movement”. It was mob-based. Many of his faithful made enemies in the process, buried their ambitions and political prospects in support of Onofiok Luke. Sadly, little did they know that the very man they staked their lives to defend and campaign for, will one day leave them behind without a word of farewell.

Onofiok Luke may claim he was invited by traditional rulers on the issue, therefore he couldn’t reject their appeal to work with his brother to actualize his ambition. One thing Luke will not tell his supporters is that, there was a day he came in from Abuja and moved straight to meet with the Paramount Ruler of Ikot Abasi where he strategized on his exit plan from the race. His meeting with the traditional rulers council was the final point of agreement to openly make known his clandestine support for Pastor Umo Eno.

However, this writer learned in good authority that since February, Akwa Ibom State government had dispatched team to meet with Onofiok Luke to strategies on how to keep his supporters busy from joining other aspirants. At the meeting, government team was said to have promised his family one billion naira to cover his political expenses and another one billion once he openly declares for Umo Eno.

The doubt about Onofiok Luke’s ambition started when he attended stakeholders’ meeting at government house where Pastor Umo Eno was presented as the preferred successor of Governor Udom Emmanuel. In his response, Onofiok claimed he did not know what would transpire at the meeting, that he only honoured invitation of the Governor. This was the beginning of Onofiok Luke’s betrayal of his supporters.

On good note, Onofiok Luke was rightly informed of what the meeting with the Governor was all about but he chose to play a good boy and joined the endorsement frenzy of Umo Eno.

The second red flag that showed Onofiok was never serious over his ambition was the day all aspirants came out to protest highjack of delegates’ list by Governor Udom Emmanuel. Onofiok stayed back and refused to show up or speak about that act. He was confronted by his supporters on why he didn’t join the protest but he said he wasn’t interested.

By all indications, Onofiok Luke was never serious about his Governorship ambition, reason he kept telling people within his close circle that he would not go to court against his brother after the governorship primaries.

Onofiok Luke knew the whole ploy to install Umo Eno as Governor Udom Emmanuel’s successor from the beginning but was asked to play a spoiler for other aspirants, keep his supporters from joining other camps.

After Senator Bassey Albert’s governorship declaration on the platform of Young Progressives Party, YPP , Governor Udom Emmanuel was taken aback at the spate of support many Akwa Ibomites gave to OBA. In order to quell the effect of OBA’s declaration and consistent defection of party members to YPP, Onofiok Luke was said to have been approached by government team to play the final spoiler, by announcing his support for Umo Eno and redirect his supporters to Umo Eno- a plan he perfectly carried out at the expense of his integrity and support base.

It can be recalled that during Governor Udom Emmanuel’s second term electioneering in 2019, Onofiok Luke was asked to take charge of the media but he was said to have collected two billion naira from the Governor for the media but was not faithful enough to pay members of the Divine Mandate Media team the exact money Governor gave them, reason for continuous faceoff between major state-based publishers with government. The continuous mistrust and fight between major state-based newspapers today with Governor Udom Emmanuel stemmed from Onofiok Luke’s deliberate act of not remitting money meant for media during Udom’s second term electioneering.

Today, Onfiok Luke, the very person Akwa Ibom youths looked up to, has backtracked, leaving his supporters to lick their wounds while he moves on with lofty and juicy promises for himself and the wife.

By tomorrow 21st , Onofiok Luke, having collected so much from government, will gather his supporters and ask them to support Pst Umo Eno to succeed Governor Udom Emmanuel.

The world should know that Onofiok Luke is no longer a man of his words and character. The Okocha has dribbled his supporters to a fatal end while he leaves through the exit door. Onofiok Luke is the real Okocha Akwa Ibom people must avoid.

FAKE RESULT SCANDAL: UMO ENO CONFESSES TO UDOM
..Fake Certificate made Public.. Governor considers substitution to avoid Crisis.. Akan Okon, likely beneficiary

Following last minute decision,Akwa Ibom State Governor,Mr Gabriel Udom Emmanuel will likely send a substitution to the Party for onward submission to INEC replacing his God’s choice Successor,Pastor Umo Eno as the Governorship candidate of the PDP in the State.

This came as a result of a meeting between the Governor and Umo Eno on the lingering case filed at the Federal High Court by Mr Akan Okon accusing Eno of parading a fake WAEC certificate and which has added to the long court cases instituted against Umo Eno and the PDP. The alleged certificate paraded by Umo Eno has as candidate number 15725119 when all certificate issued by the WAEC in 1982 started with 06 as the first 2 digits.

At the meeting,Umo Eno is said to have confided in the Governor about the true position of things concerning his documents and pleaded that the Governor should use his relationship and call on Akan Okon to see reasons to let things be and to promise him to align with them to form a new Government come 2023.

The Governor was furious and told Pastor Eno that there is nothing he can really do as he had made a mistake in the first place to say that it was God that showed him as his successor and that he has seen how that decision has scattered the party and the state had known no peace since his pronouncement.

The Governor is said to have agreed to meet with Mr Akan Okon to iron out issues and then he will likely forward his name to the Party as a replacement for Umo Eno as he doesn't want the Party to lose the State. He argued that with the rumoured defection of Senator Bassey Albert to YPP and Hon Onofiok Luke to Labour Party,it is incumbent on him to restrategize so as to keep the party alive in the State.

What is not known as at now is if Umo Eno will succumb to the pressure and accept the offer as the new Electoral Act doesn't accept substitution by the party except from the candidate.

Recall that Umo Eno pronouncement by Gov Udom is a result of prolonged Fasting and prayers and waiting on the voice of God by the Gov . The Gov to justify this Decision on his choice had to involve The Oku ibom ibibio , obong Victor Attah , Prelate Mbang , Rev Uma Ukpai etc .
