"I will Come back for you", kidnapper tells Police officer, Says "Na Nigeria we dey"
*When can Extra Judicial Killings become "judicial"
A "kidnapper" in the video below tells a Police officer who effected his release that he will come back for him. He said after one year, he will resurface saying "No be Nigeria we dey". The suspect had given the Police a hard time in the suburbs and as the brief clip shows, the suspect tells the gallant officer that if he personally does not come back within a year to deal with him, "my men will enter for you..."
Few weeks ago, I watched an officer of the Nigerian Navy expressing his frustration at how the Nigerian Justice system frees back criminals to come after them. He regretted how they risk their lives at sea to arrest sea pirates, oil thieves, smugglers only for them to be released to return to base to execute their criminalities and this time, with more confidence and boldness. He cited a particular ship which they impounded with stolen crude and lost a member of the Navy in exchange of fire but got released and same squad were rearrested at the high seas again with stolen crude. To escape notice, the gang has changed the colour of the ship to confuse the officers.
There was a time in Akwa Ibom State that arm robbery, kidnapping, rape and every indices of crime rose in Akwa Ibom State. A certain Felix Uyana was the Commissioner of Police then. Everyone lived in fear. I recall how Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly passed a resolution calling for immediate redeployment of Mr Uyana from the State because he either sat and watched the situation or was overwhelmed by it or had no idea how to deploy the powers of his office to stop it. He was thus redeployed.
My very good friend, Mr Solomon Arase who later rose to become the Inspector General of Police was deployed to Akwa Ibom State as Commissioner of Police and something happened. Crime of arm robbery, kidnapping, assassination, cult clash reduced very drastically shortly
INEC, the Courts and Nigerians in 2027.
It will be very dangerous for any person to work with Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in 2027 if the Commission does not find a way to restore the confidence of Nigerians in the leadership recruitment process under their watch and be committed delivery of free and fair polls that makes the process credible and acceptable.
I came to this conclusion after reading comments by Nigerians on the arson wherein INEC office in Kogi State was razed by hoodlums some days ago. About 70% of the comments I read as reaction to the Statement of the sad incidence released by INEC and published at INEC site suggested that Nigerians were happy that INEC faced that attack and misfortune.
Very few persons encouraged use of the Law to ventilate whatever grievances arising from the poll. Few lamenting that the Courts have lost its salt and ability to rule against the powers that be. A very insignificant few where happy that INEC Staff did not loss their life in the raid.
I do not know if those comments worry INEC. I do not also know if citizens apartheid against the Courts as per how it has handled political cases worry my Lords. Ordinarily, these institutions are sustained by public confidence and when it's lost, the foundation is laid for anarchy.
I do not subscribe to violence and self help. Nigerians are educated and civilised. Corrupt institutions and leaders who have brought the country on its kneels know that Nigerians, unlike most war ravaged African countries, are adverse to violence because of their education and easy-going attitudes. Nigerians are not lazy. Nigerians just want a free environment for their thrift and industry.
Because Nigerians don't wait for government and does not go after government to make things work, government has been reckless and insensitive since the return of democracy in 1999 against even the basis needs of the citizens. People in power have convinced themselves that once they capture IN

By Unyime Enebong, Uyo.
At the May Day celebration in Uyo on Monday, the last he shall attend as Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Governor Udom Emmanuel had it hot from civil servants who bood him as he tried to exit venue of the gathering with his successor, Governor elect, Pastor Umo Eno.
Workers were heard telling the governor "isua Ka oooo", a symbolic local parlance use when sending off a bad year in anticipation of a new and better year. When used on an individual, it connotes that the person has not done well and not in good standing with his constituents.
Of particular note, old Workers in Akwa Ibom have had it rough under Governor Udom Emmanuel. They have not received their pension and gratuities, a situation which made two contestants to the governorship seat in the just concluded poll, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan and Senator John Udoedehe of YPP and NNPP respectively to adopt payment of Pension and gratuity as an agenda they will execute within six months in office if elected. Governor Udom Emmanuel had severally denied owing worker their entitlements especially retiree's pension and gratuities. But prior to the election as bad blood swelled against him his succession plan, he admitted and made part payments of the benefits.
Governor Udom Emmanuel has also delayed promotion of civil servants in the state and other benefits after managing to pay their salaries. This is even as the governor has received huge funding and arrears of derivation from the Muhammadu Buhari administration. He has also taken loans which have doubled the state debt burden. These however have not affected workers welfare as they are still owed many subheads days to the governor's exits from power. This is obviously why the boo.
His security details were busy shielding the banker turn politician from the "rampaging" workers who were bent on embarrassing the State Chief Executive. The governor in a trending video was

Wike, Udom Emmanuel and Buhari: A matter of honor
By ETIM ETIM
I am quite distressed that I have to return to this matter of lack of transparency and openness in the manner Gov. Udom Emmanuel is managing our finances so soon after my last intervention less than three weeks ago. But with the recent revelations by Gov. Wike, I am compelled to ask a few questions.
Yesterday, Friday, November 18, 2022, Gov. Nyesom Wike commissioned a purpose-built campus of the Nigeria Law School financed by the Rivers State Government in Port Harcourt. The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubarkar Malami, represented President Buhari at the event. In his speech, the governor noted that the project was funded by the arrears of derivation funds owed the Niger Delta state governments since 1999 which the Buhari administration had paid to the states.
These are the exact words of Gov. Wike: ‘’The truth is that, and let me say it for the first time, and many people have been asking me, ‘where do you get money for all these projects?’. Let me say it, and I want the Attorney General to thank Mr. President, for monies that were not paid to the Niger Delta States, from 1999, the 13% derivation money that was not paid, Mr President approved and paid all of us in the Niger Delta States. And for me, it would be unfair not to tell the public. It is not money from FAAC. It is money paid to Rivers State, Akwa Ibom State, Edo State, Bayelsa State, Delta State and I thank God. That is why since 2019 till now, we have been commissioning projects in the state. Yesterday, we commissioned the 10th flyover; in December, we will commission the 11th flyover and in February, we will commission the 12th. The other day, we commissioned a cancer center which we named after our leader, Dr. Odili. Julius Berger built it and charged us N25.9 billion; it is equipped by GE (General Electric). We paid, and no one naira is being owed. So, I want to sincerely from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of t

Senator John Udoedehe has not Resigned
Solomon Johnny, Publicity Secretary, APC, Akwa Ibom State writes thus:
The road to power is always very rough and slippery. Senator John Udoedehe is strong and rugged like Mercedes-Benz and currently navigating through it very stylishly.
He has the capacity to negotiate through any storm. He is deeply rooted in the Nigerian political terrain. I am super proud that this man is from Akwa Ibom State of all places and that I work and associate with him. He is not a local champion. He is currently holding forte and protecting the mandate of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari on the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee. He is keeping the hawks and foxes at bare. Akwa Ibomites should naturally be proud and happy about this iconic Ibibio man. I'm proud of him.
Keep calm. Keep the Focus. The Master is an eagle. He sails well at storms. I'm enjoying the drama. I'm charged, I'm inspired. Eteufok, ride on.
So what has changed, then and now? The story of Ibom/ Ibaka Deep Seaport.
PDP rejects Direct Primary.
October 12, 2021
Press Statement
Direct Primary: APC Is Rolling Back Our Democracy- PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) describes the passage by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Senate of direct primary for the nomination of candidates for election, in all political parties, as a retrogressive provision that seeks to wipe off all the gains achieved in our electoral practice since 1999.
The party says the decision by the APC-controlled Senate is a humongous blow to the development of democratic norms and a plot to introduce anarchy during internal party elections as currently obtainable in the APC.
The PDP holds that the provision is aimed at increasing the costs of nomination procedures thereby surrendering the processes to money bags against the wishes and aspiration of Nigerians.
Our party makes bold to state that with the exception of the APC, which intends to deploy looted funds in future election, hardly will there be any political party that will be able to raise the cost of conducting internal elections under a direct primary process.
This is why the decision of the Senate has elicited widespread rejection from Nigerians across board.
The PDP therefore urges the Senate to immediately deploy its appropriate legislative instruments to reverse itself on the direct primary as it is not operable and does not reflect the wishes and aspiration of majority of Nigerians.

Solomon Johnny, memver, APC Media Committee wrote thus: "Must Direct Primary favor the PDP?
"Direct Primary where every party member participates in nominating candidates to election, is an attempt at wrestling our leadership recruitment processes from the hands of a few elite Cabal and returning it to the people. It is a bold step at restructuring the electoral process and making it free of criminal excesses where money use to speak at such exercise where a handful of delegate are cornered and
