As I celebrate my 60th birthday today, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the countless blessings God has bestowed upon me throughout my life's journey.

Reflecting on the years gone by, I am humbled by the way God has used me, not only as a shepherd guiding His flock but also as a leader entrusted with the responsibility of serving the people of Akwa Ibom State.

God's grace has been evident in every aspect of my life, from my humble beginnings to the position of Governor of Akwa Ibom State. He has blessed me with wisdom, strength, and unwavering faith to navigate the challenges and triumphs that come with leadership.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to implement the ARISE Agenda, a vision inspired by God's calling to uplift our state and its people. Through this agenda, we have witnessed remarkable progress in various sectors, from agriculture to infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

In this new decade of my life, I am committed to continuing God's work with zeal and dedication. May His light shine through me, illuminating the path of righteousness for all. To God be the glory for the great things He has done and will continue to do. Amen.

10 PEICES OF ADVICE TO EVERY PERSON.

1. When respect is no longer there, find your way out. Although it is hard to start over, do not wait until you lose yourself in the process.

2. Do not chase love. Chase your dreams instead.

3. No one has the right to make you feel worthless. You are more than enough.

4. If someone really loves you, they will pursue you and will make real efforts.

5. Please know that you are beautiful together with your scars and imperfections.

6. You do not need to compare yourself to anyone. You have a different journey to take.

7. Your only competition is yourself. Hone your skills and be a better version of you.
8. If it fails, it is not love in the first place. True love bends but it never breaks.

9. Working hard is good but you have to prioritize your health. Find time to be with your family. They are the ones who will be there for you in your darkest days.

HOW TO APOLOGISE TO YOUR SPOUSE...✍🏾

1. Don't justify why you did wrong. Accept it was wrong.

2. Don't seduce your spouse into s*x hoping that s*x will make your spouse forget the wrong you did and you can escape humbling yourself to say sorry.

3. Don't blame your spouse for making you do something wrong. Be an adult. Take responsibility for your actions.

4. Don't send friends, family, or siblings to apologize on your behalf. It shows cowardice. Face the one you have wronged.

5. Don't belittle the wrong you did as if showing your spouse he/she is overreacting. If it is a big deal to your spouse, take it as a big deal.

6. Don't start listing your spouse's past wrongs when your spouse confronts you on your current wrong. Love doesn't keep a record of wrongs.

7. Don't apologise on social media or put a post on Facebook or WhatsApp status hoping your spouse will see it without saying anything in private. Make your apology personal and heartfelt.

8. Don't brush it off and move on as if nothing happened just because you know your spouse loves you. Don't sweep things under the carpet.

PHOTOS: Junior Pope: Late Nollywood Makeup Artist, Abigail Frederick, Buried In Akwa Ibom

The late Nollywood makeup artist, Abigail Fredrick, 24, has been laid to rest in her hometown in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, on Monday.

Frederick was among the five film practitioners, including Junior Pope, who died when their boat capsized on the River Niger last Wednesday.

PUNCH Online reports that the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, instructed that her body be returned to the state for a proper burial after she was said to have been buried by the riverbank.

Following the governor's directive, her body was exhumed on Sunday, April 14.

A candle-light procession was also said to have been held in her honour.

A Facebook user, Ubong David, who shared pictures from the burial on Monday wrote, "Today, the late Abigail Frederick, the Nollywood makeup artist who tragically lost her life in the ill-fated boat mishap, has been laid to rest at the family compound in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area.

"The funeral service was conducted by the Church of Christ, Ikot Udoma, and was attended by various dignitaries, including the Eket Transition Committee Chairman, Akaniyene Tommey; Commissioner for Tourism, Charles Udoh; SA on Entertainment, Moses Eskor; Godfada Uko, members of the Eket Transition Committee, Nollywood actress, Eve Esin, the Nollywood community, friends, and sympathisers."
