Why are lunatics recruited into the Amotekun Agency? The Community divellers of Ladigbolu community Oyo, Oyo West witnessed a display of madness by two operatives of the Amotekun Agency in Oyo State. Investigations revealed that one of the actors is a Coordinator of the Oyo East Local Government, While the other one, {a female} is an operative who is from Lagelu but seconded to the Headquarters. At the scene of crime, i.e Lane 6, Ladigbolu residents have been seeing the red Amotekun Van with number 029 moving in and out of the community carrying drinks, plastic coolars and other materials meant for cooking, into the community. The Ifa celebration of the woman IFA priest resident in the community was due on Thursday 20th October, 2022. and the Oyo East Coordinator had taken it upon himself to turn it to that of the Amotekun Agency. The new Camo van of Oyo East was not left out in the preparation as it was used to convey the cow used into the community. At about 5:30pm on the day of the ceremony, the two Oyo East vehicles were parked at the venue of the party as early as 8:00am with operatives from the Oyo East Local Government all dressed in M***I. An Amotekun operative who claimed to be the Zonal Coordinator came to where the 029 van was parked and demanded for the key from the driver. As the driver was submitting the key to the Zonal Coordinator. The "celebrant" i.e. the Oyo East Coordinator, dressed in purple "Agbada" emerged with another Lady who also dressed in purple dress. The two of them were cursing the Zonal Coordinator, who was trying to explain to them that he was acting on the Order of the State Commandant. Then the exhibition of madness started the community residents were treated to a very funny film as both the Oyo East Coordinator and the Lady started assaulting the Zonal Coordinator. At a certain time, the Lady who was identified as an Amotekun from Ibadan started biting the right hand of the Zonal Coordinator. The Zonal Coordinator did not show any sign of anger, but he made sure that he removed the 029 van from the community. At another time, the Lady in purple stayed in front of the Amotekun vehicle saying that the vehicle would not move from that place. Governor Seyi Makinde, please mad and insane individuals like these husband and wife should be removed from the Amotekun Corps. The masses could not believe their eyes when these two operatives started to exhibit insanity of the highest order.

Meet 16-year-old tech guru from Ogun State

For 16-year-old John Oseni from Ogun State, providence has been kind to him. At 15 years old in 2021, he made his first million through the use of technology. However, there was no instant miracle to his early success. A cocktail of events ‘conspired’ to lead him to what now appears like divine providence. His story is as paradoxical as it is intriguing.

His present success with computer programming was not a deliberately choreographed affair. There seems to have been some element of the proverbial phoenix narrative to his little journey to success. A company, Green Garage, had before the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown organised a computer competition for about 80 students and Oseni and another girl had come first. They expected their prizes which never came, so he decided to get to the company himself.

A visit to the company revealed not his prize but a pile of dusty computers that inspired him to action. He pleaded with the management for a chance to use one of their old computers to practice his passion, coding. They agreed, he did and his knowledge and hunger for more programming knowledge blossomed and he ended up learning and teaching others in the same company.

For the teenage tech guru, the lockdown period had its blessings; he was able to deviate from his childhood dream of joining the military having attended Command Secondary School, Akure, Ondo State, for his high school. He got more interested in programming and today he is making headlines as a teenage millionaire who works for more than a dozen start-up companies across the globe.

A comic angle to his blossoming tech life is the fact that his professor of biochemistry father and a retired civil servant mother initially thought their young son was possessed by some evil spirit. They are however very excited today at his progress and bourgeoning fame and fortune.

We commend the Green Garage company, the parents and the teenage wiz kid himself for the encouragement and dedication that brought the boy to global limelight. His success brings pride and hope to not only his family but Nigeria as a country. It is the miracle of technology that despite the lack of deliberate policy direction to stir the Nigerian students to the science and technology world, individuals and corporate bodies are investing in the field and the young people are changing the narrative in the field of technology despite all odds.

It is encouraging to know that the young boy is not carried away by the sudden fame as he is known not to be jumping into offers from across the globe. He seems to be focused on expanding his knowledge through education which he says might be strictly online to allow him do his work. It is good that he values education. He says he wants to multitask and possibly get a Ph.D in Engineering.

It is equally commendable that despite his age, John has also been invited to different global events as a guest speaker and has also won numerous awards to his name. We hope Nigeria puts as much value to his talent as the global community as a way of encouraging other young people.

His beautiful dream of a future powered by nature is very enchanting and should be supported. He said he plans to use nature to power cars, phones and other things. In a world battling the serious effects of climate change and global warming, he might just be the answer to a confused world.

John’s success has many lessons for both governments and parents. Governments must invest more in education and parents must be careful not to insist on their career choices for children. It is always good to allow children make their choices based on their interests. Success must not always be about pure academics and acquisition of certificates. Ironically, many of the global billionaires do not bandy strings of certificates. Late Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg , Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, etc. are either college dropouts or just managed to get one degree. Ideas and technology rule the world and those who understand would always progress. Nigerian governments must see the value in education and fund it adequately to encourage the young ones to reach their full potential and help the country prosper.

The Federal Road Safety Corps in Bauchi State has revealed that the rate of road crashes in 2022 has reduced by 53 per cent when compared to the crashes recorded in 2021 and 2020 in the state.

Obasanjo Offers His Seat To Peter Obi At Gov Abiodun's Table

The former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has been seen in a viral video, offering the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, his seat at the number one table at a dinner reception.

The reception was to celebrate with personalities from Ogun State who got national awards on Wednesday.

The viral video showed that the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, was present and seated at the same table where Obasanjo dragged Obi to.

In the video, Obasanjo went to take Obi from where he was seated and brought him to the table where Abiodun and others were seated.

Afterwards, Obasanjo said, “My job here is done,” dropped the microphone and made his way out of the event.

TWO SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS ARRESTED FOR KILLING A 40 YEARS OLD MAN FOR RITUAL.

Operatives of Ogun state Police Command have arrested two suspected internet fraudsters popularly call yahoo Boys for killing a 40 years old man Abdullahi Azeez , cut him to pieces and used him for money making ritual.

The suspects; Friday Abinya Odeh 21 years old and Poso Idowu 20 years were arrested following a report lodged at Owode Egba divisional headquarters on the 9th of June 2022 by the relations of the victim, who reported that the victim left his home at Kobape area on the 8th of June 2022 and did not return since then.

Upon the report, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, directed the anti kidnapping unit of the state Criminal Investigation Departments to take over the investigation and unravel the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of the man.

In compliance with the CP's directive, the SP Taiwo Opadiran led team subsequently embarked on technical and intelligence based investigation which led them to the hideout of Friday Abinya Odeh on the 22nd of September 2022, where the Airtel Sim card of the victim was recovered.

His arrest led to the apprehension of his accomplice Poso Idowu.
On interrogation, the suspects confessed that they kidnapped the victim on the 8th of June 2022 at kobape area, at about 7:30 pm, from where they forcefully took him to the bush, killed him and pieces his body.

They confessed further that it was one herbalist simply identified as Arab money who they claimed to have contacted on Facebook that prescribed the ritual for them All efforts to recover the remains of the victim proved abortive as the suspects claimed to have disposed it.

Meanwhile, CP Lanre Bankole, has directed that the suspects be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Moment Wike Removed Omehia's Picture From Govt House

The removal comes as he signed the legal instrument derecognising Omehia as a former governor of the state.
