AFTERMATH OF APC SENSITISATION TOUR: Orlu Zone In Solidarity For Gov. Uzodimma’s Re-election Bid.
——Vows To Make The Bid A Collective Project!
The people of Imo West Senatorial District, known as Orlu Zone, with 12 Local Government Areas, have vowed to lead Governor Hope Uzodimma’s re-election campaign in the state as soon as the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC lifts its ban on election campaign activities in earnest.
This was the outcome of the just concluded APC’s grassroots sensitisation and awareness outreach carried out by the leadership of the party as part of its programmes and activities for the party’s electoral victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election slated for November 11th 2023.
The awareness drive in the zone, ably led by the Orlu zonal Chairman of the party, Barr. Kelvin Ugwuh, which covered the 12 LGAs with members, stakeholders, supporters and stalwarts drawn across the 2000 polling Units in the senatorial district, was designed to reawaken the people’s political consciousness, rekindle their sense of responsibility and abreast them of the fact that they are the major key playing machinery in the re-election campaign project of Gov. Hope Uzodimma come November 11, 2023.
The people of the zone expressed their genuine commitment,unalloyed solidarity and unflinching determination towards Gov. Uzodimma’s re-election bid and vowed to make it a collective project considering the quality standard infrastructural development the Governor has impacted in the zone, which has changed the old narratives of underdeveloped state of the area in the past.
The people expressed their profound gratitude to the Governor for all the good works he has done in the zone, especially his relentless efforts in dousing the embers of miscreancy and criminality by returning normalcy and decorum in the area, where the people enterprise their legitimate businesses with no fear of criminal onslaughts.
The people also promised to mobilise all the necessary resources to ensure the successful implementation of the project, described as an act of ingratitude and unpatriotic for any son or daughter from the zone not to support the re-election of their illustrious son, Governor Hope Odidika Uzodimma,(Onwa Oyoko)in whom they are well pleased for any reason.
However, the sensitisation outreach proved a multi-faceted dimensional drive, because it demonstrated the overwhelming support and popularity the Governor enjoys in the area, wider acceptability of APC by the people and neutralisation of the misguided media speculation that the area, and by extension the entire state is not safe for socioeconomic and political activities to thrive, which were the handiwork of some disgruntled and undesirable political desperados who are hellbent on discrediting the good works of the people’s Governor to score cheap political gains.
By and large, the coast is now clear for Governor Hope Uzodimma’s re-election victory, as his people have formed a formidable front to champion the course of the own son, who meant well for them and the entire state, and who has placed the state on a trajectory of uncommon transformation, of which his second term of office will guarantee the consolidation of all the giant strides and his impressive leadership scorecard that has surpassed the previous regimes in the state.
Together, we can collectively support the Governor’s re-election bid across the state for a more progressive, robust and prosperous Imo State of our collective dream, and the time is now!
And Onwa 4+4 is a sure bet, indeed, there is no vacancy in Douglas House!
