All the artwork is designed by mondii & uison in custom made book-shaped paper packs.

【OUT TODAY！】"Mujo" Kazuya Matsumoto

松本一哉 Kazuya's 3rd album "Mujo" is now ready for shipping, and you can also listen to it digitally on all major streaming/download sites.

Here's a comment from the Taylor Deupree (12K) who took part in this album with his amazing mastering.

"I spent a long time listening deeply to “Mujo” during the mastering process and the quality and clarity of therecordings make the ice a highly tactile, living, breathing organism. It is nature displaying subtlety and power at the same time."

The CD version includes 32 page color booklet of Kazuya's photography, and a secret QR link to the recording scenes. Moreover, when playing the CD on CD players (not on computers), there is a hidden gap between the tracks which is also his expression just for the CD version. He strongly recommends to listen to the album on headphones.

We just received the new SPEKK CDs "Mujo" Kazuya Matsumoto 松本一哉 from the manufacturer which turned out perfectly.
It is our very first 2 CD Disc release and includes 32 page booklet with icy sceneries taken at the time of the recordings shot by Kazuya. CD version also includes a secret QR code link to footage of the recording.

Finally, we are happy to announce our new release (after 3 years!) - Japanese sound artist Kazuya Matsumoto's new album "Mujo" in 2CD format, over 130 minutes of recordings based on the sound of ice.

Disc 1 features performing and interaction with sounds that occurs above the ice. Disc 2 features performing and interaction with sounds that occurs below the ice using hydrophones.

It is an album opposed to his first album "Mizu No Katachi (Shape of Water)" confronting the harsh and constantly changing environment and he recalls those recording days as "transience", also expressing his feeling towards the never ending explorations.

The recording captures the dynamic and delicate sounds of the ice and nature as well as his soul put into the 9 years. Includes 32 pages full color booklet with photography of the ice and nature taken by Matsumoto at the time of the recordings. Mastered by Taylor Deupree.
