SUNDAY IGBOHO IS YET TO BE RELEASED FROM POLICE CUSTODY IN BENIN REPUBLIC
Contrary to the news circulating on social media that the leading Yoruba self determination leader, Chief Adeyemo Sunday aka Sunday Igboho has been released from the custody of Benin Security operatives, the Yoruba global leader, Prof. Banjo Akinyoye has confirmed the news to be far from truth.
It will be recalled that the news of Igboho arreste by police in Cotonou, Benin Republic filtered through the air yesterday which caused mixed feelings among the Yoruba nation agitators.
Wale Adeniran, one of the conveners of Ilana Omo Oodua International, a Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, confirmed that the activist is yet to be released in his. He however stated that efforts are ongoing to secure his release. He stated this during the Zoom meeting with other stakeholders of the group on Tuesday evening.
