sì yàtọ̀ síra wọn. Ọmọnílé jẹ́ ọkan lára ẹranko afàyà fà tó wà lórílẹ èdè àgbáyé àyàfi
Antarctica.

Alagemo je ọkan nínú àwọn ẹranko tó wu ni jùlọ ní ìjọba ẹranko afàyàfà. Ó jẹ́ ẹranko tí wọn
mọ̀ gẹgẹ́ bí èyí tí ó ní agbára láti yí àwọ padà. Ìrísí rẹ̀ jẹ́ èyí tí ó lágbára. Ó jẹ́ ẹranko
aláwọ̀ tẹẹrẹ tí ó sì ní ojú dídán tí ó leè fi rí gbogbo ohun tí ó wà ní àyíká a rẹ, níwájú, lẹyìn, tí kò
sì sí ohun kan tó pamọ́ fún irú ojú tí ó ní yìí. Alagemo jẹ́ kòkòrò ní pàtàkì ní ìṣèdá pẹlú ahón
gígùn tí ó jẹ́ ohun ìjà wọn láti mú ohunkóhun tí wọn fẹ́ jẹ. Ó jẹ́ ẹranko tí ó máa ń ní sùúrù
fún ohun ọdẹ wọn, kí wọn leè lo ahón ẹmọ wọn yìí láì tasé, tí ó fi jẹ́ pé, kò sí irú ohun tí ó bá ti
lẹ mọ́ ahọn yìí láti jẹ fún wọn tí ó tún le è jáde. Ẹranko yìí jé èyí tí ń mú ní rántí bí ayé ṣe wá ní
àìdọgba.
Àwọn nǹkan tí alagemo fi ń ṣe oúnjẹ ni àwọn kòkòrò bíi: ìrẹ̀ , Ẹlétẹ , eṣinsin, itù,, ekòló,
labalábá, alantakun àti bẹẹ bẹẹ lọ. Àmọ́ nnkan ti alagemo fi ń ṣe oúnjẹ yàtò síra wọn. Èyí dá
lórí tàbí níiṣe pẹlú irú ohun tí ó fẹ́ ìwọn rẹ̀ àti ibùgbé wọn.
A lè ka alagemo sí àwọn ẹranko ìgbẹ́ tí wọn máa ń gbé ní agbègbè ibi tí a gbé bí wọn bíi inú
igbó, aginjù, àti àwọn ìlú ẹdá abàmì mìíràn. A lè rí alagemo ni àwọn àgbègbè bíi Áfríkà,
Madagascar, Asia, àti díẹ̀ nínú apákan tí Gúsù ni Europe.

Ogboju Ode
Throughout the history of the Yorubas, there have been many great warriors who have lived and passed on. Unfortunately, due to lack of historical education in schools, particularly at the elementary level, many people do not know their founding fathers or how and when they settled in the land they found themselves in. It is crucial not to forget these brave men that paved the way for us today.
