NIGER STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR LED STATE DELEGATION TO THE FUNERAL PRAYER OF LATE FORMER PERMANENT SECRETARY ALH. NUHU MUSA IN MINNA

A large number of sympathizers thronged the Palace of the Emir of Minna, Alh. Umar Faruk Bahago for the funeral prayer of the late Former Permanent Secretary Local Government Service Commission Alh. Nuhu Musa.

Niger State Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba led the State Government delegation comprising the Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service, Chief of Staff and some members of the State Executive Council to the funeral.

He conveyed the condolence message of the Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago to the Minna Emirate Council over the loss, acknowledging the death of Alh. Musa as a great loss to the State considering his contributions to the growth and development of the State.

The Chief Imam of Minna, Mallam Ibrahim Isah Fari, who conducted the funeral prayer, also led other Scholars in a special prayer session for the deceased at the Palace of the Emir of Minna.

The remains of the deceased were conveyed to the Ungwan Daji Muslim Cemetery for burial.

BAGO @50: FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO CHARGES RELIGIOUS LEADERS TO SUSTAIN PRAYERS FOR THE NATION

***AS THE STATE ORGANISES A SPECIAL PRAYER SESSION FOR HIM

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on religious leaders to sustain prayers for the Nation to
surmount all the challenges confronting it.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago stated this at a Special prayer session held in his honour at the Hauwa Wali Multi-Purpose Hall, Government House, Minna.

The Farmer Governor who commended the organizers for the session, said prayers are the most important birthday gift to him especially at 50 years of his existence.

He said he will continue to be thankful to Allah for all His favours and good health he has to him through the years.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago used the medium to remind people of the need to live an impactful life to be remembered for.

The Director General, Religious Affairs, Mallam Umar Farooq Abdullahi led other Islamic Scholars in a Special prayer session for continued guidance and wisdom from Allah to the Farmer Governor.

A series of prayers were also offered for the State in particular and the Country at large.

There was also a recitation of the Holy Quran by Students from various Islamic Schools

A copy of the Holy Qur'an and sword which symbolises strength and leadership were presented to the Farmer Governor by a renowned Islamic Scholar from Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi's Foundation.

The Farmer Governor was joined by his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba and some members of the State Executive Council.

The wife of the Farmer Governor and First Lady of the State, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago and her entourage also attended the Special Prayer Session

Earlier a similar Special Prayer session was held at the Governor's Official Residence, Government House, Minna.

Governor Bago's Mega Distribution of Agricultural Inputs Boosts Farmers and Workers Productivity.

The Governor, represented by the deputy governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, spearheaded the Phase 2 distribution of agricultural and work tools, injecting vitality into the farming community and labor-intensive public workers.

The Governor distributed farm machinery worth hundreds of millions, including Tractors, Fertilizers, Rice Millers, Multi-purpose Threshers, Hammer mills, Power tillers, De-stoners, Rice Transplanters, and Hand reapers. Additional support extended to seeds, herbicides/insecticides, and water pumps.

The event witnessed a cash transfer of 100,000 Naira to over five thousand beneficiaries, laptops, POS machines, and Android phones, affirming the government's commitment to promoting active participation in farming and ensuring food security for Nigerians and the nation.

NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT TO ENROL FAMILY MEMBERS OF FALLEN HEROES AND EX-SERVICEMEN IN SOCIAL INVESTMENT PROGRAMMES

Niger State Government has reassured ex-servicemen and family members of fallen heroes that it will engage them productively through the State Ministry of Medium and Micro Small Scale Enterprises.

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago stated this in an interview during the 2024 Nigerian Armed Forces Remembrance Day and Wreath laying ceremony at the Permanent Cenotaph, Minna.

Farmer Governor who was represented by his Deputy Comrade Yakubu Garba, said that the State owes it a duty to cater for the families of fallen heroes and also the ex-servicemen who have paid their dues in serving their fatherland.

He said they will be enrolled into different categories of social investment programmes based on their ages.

The Farmer Governor said the State Government will not allow them to be subjected to poverty and that the services of the ex-servicemen will continuously be needed in dealing with the security challenges in the State.

The Chairman, Nigerian Legion, Niger State Council, Mamuda Baba Ahmed appreciated the efforts of Farmer Governor Umaru Bago who has shown commitment towards their plights.

He expressed optimism that the State Government will redeem its pledge made to the Legion while calling on it to engage the cadets trained by the Nigerian Legion Corps of Commissionaires so that they can equally help address insecurity.

Highlights of the event were the wreath laying by the Governor and other key actors, gun salute, release of pigeons and colour match out.

NIGER DEPUTY GOVERNOR CELEBRATES NEW YEAR WITH KINSMEN IN MUNYA AND SHIRORO.

The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba has marked the 2024 New Year Anniversary with his kinsmen in Munya and Shiroro local Governments Areas of the State.

The Deputy Governor visited Fuka, a Community in Munya local Government and celebrated the Annual Fikni festival with the People. He thereafter proceeded to Kpmakpma in Shiroro local for the annual Kpmakpma cultural festival.

At the events, Comrade Yakubu Garba harped on the need for the people to preserve their cultural Heritage and entrench trust that will promote unity, peace, and security.

He highlighted the uncommon commitment of the Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago in ensuring that relative peace and security is restored in Shiroro, Munya, Rafi, Paikoro, and indeed the entire State.

In their separate remarks during the Festivals the traditional heads of Fuka and Kpmakpma commended the efforts of the Government in taming terrorism in the axis. They recalled with nostalgia, the past experiences of unwanton killings and abduction, which had became the visible trademark of many Communities in the two Local Governments.

The Communities gave assurances of their maximum support and Cooperation to the present Administration and encouraged the Government to be relentless in the drive to end insecurity, as current effort is yielding the desired result.

FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO CALLS ON THE NIGERIAN AIR FORCE TO SUSTAIN ITS ONSLAUGHT ON TERRORISTS ACROSS THE NATION.

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has commended the Nigerian Air Force for its tireless efforts aimed at curtailing the activities of terrorists, bandits and other criminal elements.

The Governor gave the commendation when he received the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar on a courtesy visit at the Government House Minna.

He acknowledged the tremendous help the Chief of Air Staff has rendered to Niger State and described his visit to the State as a testament that Niger State is not forsaken.

The Farmer Governor who called for continuous surveillance by the air components of the Nigerian Air Force, said the State Government will continue to provide all the necessary support to the Air Force to realize its goals.

He disclosed that the Government is also Working with all security agencies to make sure that all borders are tightened up to stop criminals from entering the State to perpetrate crime adding that activities of artisanal miners are being curbed.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago informed the Chief of Air Staff that the State Government has appropriated money for the completion of the Housing Units he promised the Air Force and that it is expected to begin by January next year while arrangements are also in place to hand over the 1,000 hectares of land allocated to them after compensation must have been paid.

He used the forum to call on all security agencies to join the State's agricultural revolution by engaging in farming stressing that the Government will provide them an avenue to tap from the riches inherent in agriculture.

Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar who thanked Governor Bago for his support and commitment to synergize with the Nigerian Air Force in tackling insecurity said the Nigerian Air Force will not relent in its efforts and renewed vigour in bombarding terrorist camps in the State.
