SIG NEWS!

The Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency's representative in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher, Mnse, yesterday, 25th January, 2024, paid an official visit on the Director General of the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), Dr. Godwin Audu in his office in Abuja.

The visit was meant to acquire timely agricultural information as well as seek NAQS' synergy—to better the chances of agricultural production and investment in Jechira Constituency—for both plants, crops, and animals farmers.

With its main objective to prevent the introduction, establishment and spread of exotic pests and diseases of all agricultural products in the international trade, NAQS works also to provide an effective Science-based regulatory service for quality assurances of agricultural products through consistent enforcement of sanitary and phytosanitary measures—for promoting a secured and sustainable agricultural and economic development.

And having Jechira farmers in mind, as well as putting agriculture at the fore of his legislative business, Hon. Sesoo Ikpagher is working round the clock, reaching out to every necessary authority, both public and private, to get the needed help—to ensure the Jechira, Benue, and Nigeria farmer has access to what's needed to produce the best quality of products/produce to meet the local, national and international market demands.

63RD NIGERIA'S INDEPENDENCE DAY 2023: HON. SESOO IKPAGHER SENDS WARM WISHES TO CONSTITUENTS

—Calls on them to believe and have faith in God and be hopeful of better days ahead.

Hon. Engr. Sesoo Ikpagher, member representing the good people of Vandeikya/ Konshisha (Jechira) Federal Constituency of Benue State at the House of Representatives, felicitates with Jechira constituents, Benue people and entire Nigerian citizens on this year's Independence Day celebration.

The Honourable Member describes Nigeria as a treasurable inheritance passed unto Nigerians of this generation by the heroes past, through their struggles for self-government, but also for sovereignty—in pursuit of justice and fairness for all citizens.

He says, as citizens and heirs to the Independence that was fought and won by our past heroes, we owe it a duty to guard, protect and promote this inheritance with jealous love and patriotism—both in our best and darkest of moments.

Hon. Sesoo therefore calls on Jechira constituents to believe and have faith in God, even as times are hard; not to lose faith in Nigeria, but rather stiffen their sinews—looking at such difficulties as a sort of mental spring-board by which to vault across the gulf of failure to the solid ground of full success—which is sure to come.

He finally wishes constituents, Benue State and Nigerian citizens a happy and joyous Independence Celebration filled with love.

SHANGEV-TIEV APC FAMILY MEETS AT THE RESIDENCE OF DR. ABAWUA IN MAKURDI.

—Resolves to stand solidly behind the Leadership of Hon. Engr. Sesoo Gboko Ikpagher.

The members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the four council wards that constitute Shangev-Tiev part of Konshisha Local Government Area, today, June 15, 2023, met at the residence of the former commissioner of Education in Benue State, who is also a chieftain of the party, Hon. (Dr.) Jonathan Abawua in Makurdi, to discuss the way forward for the Shangev-tiev APC family in post election days.

Members who were led by the Party's chairmen of their various wards—from all the kindreds turned up for the meeting earlier today at the said residence. Welcoming all members as well giving his address, shortly after the opening prayer, Hon. Dr Jonathan Abawua, host, expressed happiness over the massive number of people who, irrespective of the current difficulties, made it to the meeting as called.

He added that, it was the first of its kind—that Shangev-Tiev would turn up in massive numbers for this kind of occasion at his residence, saying, it was an indication that what he called the meeting for was indeed a crucial and important matter by all measures of the people's consideration.

He finally said his aim for calling all members of the APC in Shangev-Tiev for a meeting was to ask them to unite as one people to give their full support to their son, the House of Representatives' member representing Vandeikya/Konshisha (Jechira), Hon. Engr. Sesoo Gboko Ikpagher, whom he said, is the new leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), not only in Shangev-Tiev, but the entire Jechira Constituency, and that he needs the support of party members, especially from his home, to do a success job for the people.

Speaking, Hon. Henry Hemba, who represented Hon. Engr. Sesoo Gboko at the meeting said, the absence of Hon. Sesoo Gboko at the meeting was due to office engagements, but that the Honourable Member gave his greetings and prayers to be with all those in attendance, saying he was with them in spirit even as he wasn't present in person, charging all in attendance to work for the unity of Shangev-Tiev.

On his part, Hon. Hangeior Akaan, the State Financial Secretary of the APC, said that, he was glad that Elder Dr. Jonathan Abawua called for such meeting, adding that, the Shangev-tiev APC family needs to unite and support their son, Hon. Engr. Sesoo Gboko, so that he could be able to provide the necessary dividends of democracy to the people of Jechira as deserving.

Also speaking, elder Iordye Tyoasu, from Ikyurav/Mbatwer, said that, the meeting was a welcome development and as well timely. He said it came at the time that some unknown elements are parading themselves as members of the APC in Shangev-Tiev, whom according to him, are not really known by the party in their various wards—regarding the claims such people make! He concluded by asking elders, especially from the various wards, to call such people to order to establish party discipline and follow the leader of APC in Shangev-Tiev, Hon. Engr. Sesoo Gboko.

Others who spoke were; Dr. Ukpoko, Hon. Johnson Awua, sir George Welgba, Hon. Emmanuel Igyom (APC Secretary Konshisha), elder Tile Kaana, elder Atsenda Ishwa, elder Shaapera Shember, elder Agaji, all the four wards chairmen of the APC in Shangev-Tiev, and many others, in their separate speeches, thanked Hon. Dr. Jonathan Abawua for the meeting, and called on all members to unite as one people and give their total support to the son of Shangev-Tiev who is the current member of the House of Representatives as well as the image of the APC as party in Jechira Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Sesoo Gboko Ikpagher, as the leader of the party—to solidify efforts in making sure he succeeds and well, bring development to Shangev-Tiev and entire Jechira.

They, however, frowned at the behaviours of some elements from Shangev-tiev who are making false claims of party leadership, whose behaviours, they said, threaten the unity, discipline, and orderliness of party protocols, and who must be called to order—to follow the new leadership of the party as chosen by the people of Shangev-Tiev and sworn by God's Almighty, in order to attract development to Shangev-Tiev Land.

Many notable people who attended the occasion were; sir Daniel A*o, Dr. Emmanuel Baaki, Hon. John Ayaku, Hon. Mofa Nyiyongu, Hon. Benjamin Yakela, Dr. Bruce Iormom, Hon. Moses Dugu, Sir David Chafa, sir Iortyom Manyam and many other numerous people.
