Governor Bello's aide, Oladele Nihi popularly known as OJN announces separation from wife

A special assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Vice President West Africa, Pan African Youth Union (PYU), Fmr PYU Commissioner & Fmr President, NYCN, Comrade Oladele Nihi has announced that he has parted ways with his wife, Abimbola Omowumi.

Nihi in a social media post earlier today disclosed, "In the words of Jennifer Weiner “Divorce isn’t such a tragedy. A tragedy’s staying in an unhappy marriage, teaching your children the wrong things about love. Nobody ever died of divorce.”

It is on this note and this day that I wish by this post to make public the dissolution of my marriage with Ms. Abimbola Omowumi. Today ordinarily should mark our wedding anniversary but the past years has not been what I desire for a marriage and I believe she feels the same way too.

This public notice of dissolution would have come years ago as we've been living apart but for the love and respect I have for my mother, consideration of public view and unsolicited public commentaries which I can no longer tolerate or bear.

I'm not here to tell unnecessary story of why this is happening but just so the public particularly family and friends know. While it's okay to hold your opinions, appoint self as judges and commentators, I so desire that my decision be respected while your opinion be kept to yourself or at best gossiped/discussed behind.

Meet Ofu born Igala man who invented BuyPower

Hailing from Ogbabo in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Ojima Benjamin Ufaruna, a proud product of FUT Minna, and well travelled young man, has carved an illustrious path among the founders of Fintech firms in Africa, with an unmatched impact in the Nigerian power sector.

His journey commenced in 2009 while still in the final year of university, where he embarked on a career as a computer software engineer.

In a remarkable gesture, in 2019, marking a decade after graduation, Ojima donated a fully equipped recording studio to the radio arm of the FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY MINNA, fondly known as FUT MINNA.

The year 2022 brought more accolades as BuyPower earned recognition from New Hemisphire Capital Ltd as the most innovative fintech company in the Nigerian power sector.

Driven by a passion for utilizing technology to solve local problems, Ojima actively advises startups in his spare time. Through BuyPower Inc., he strives to address consumer payment challenges in Nigeria and beyond.

Anambra Pastor Commits Su***de After Lover Jilted Him

A pastor of a Pentecostal Church in Nnewi, Anambra State, identified as Pastor Prosper Igboke, has committed su!cide as he jumped down from a two-storey building in Nnewi.

It was reported that Igboke jumped down from the building and d!ed instantly after he was jilted by his lover, who he had spent so much money on.

A relative of the deceased said the 30-year-old man from Leru community in Umunneochi Local Government Area, Abia State, had trained his lover in the University, after which she declined his marriage proposal.

“The incident happened last month. The man (Igboke) was 30 years old at the time of his d£ath. His girlfriend, whom he intended to marry disappointed him after seeing her through the university.

He jumped down from a two-storey building and d!ed. I am surprised that a man of this age and a pastor can do this.”

According to their village tradition, the relative said he was buried in a forest for committing “sacrilege”.

“He was eventually buried on Friday in a bush in his community,” the source added.


The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the incident was not reported at the police command.

On Monday, an image of a mosque with the new name, 'Mary Mother of Jesus Christ Mosque', went viral on social media.

The Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed mosque in Al Mushrif, a district in Abu Dhabi, UAE, was renamed 'Mariam, Umm Eisa’ which translates from Arabic to English as ‘Mary Mother of Jesus’.

The renaming of the mosque was ordered by Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi crown prince, in 2019 “to consolidate bonds of humanity between followers of different religions."
