What's Your Take On Desacralized Childbirth?

The Western world has a long history of medicalizing childbirth, and this has led to a desacralization of the process. This can be seen in the way that childbirth is often treated as a medical procedure, rather than a natural and sacred event. There are also many women who have internalized this view, and they may feel that they need to have a medicalized birth in order to be safe and healthy.

However, there is a growing movement to reclaim childbirth as a sacred and empowering experience. This movement is based on the belief that women's bodies are capable of giving birth without medical intervention, and that childbirth can be a deeply spiritual and transformative experience.

I think it is important to respect the choices that women make about their childbirth experiences. However, I also think it is important to be aware of the ways in which Western education has desacralized childbirth.
