President Paul Biya of Cameroon is alive and in good health, according to the Civil Cabinet of the Republic of Cameroon. This update contradicts recent rumors and speculation about his health .

The Civil Cabinet's statement, released on October 8, 2024, assures that Biya has been carrying out his daily duties in Geneva, Switzerland, since his arrival from Beijing, China, where he attended the China-African summit in September .

Biya, who has been in power since 1982, has been the subject of health speculation due to his advanced age. As the longest-serving non-royal head of state, his well-being has been a topic of interest .

The Civil Cabinet's statement aims to dispel these rumors and condemn any attempts to spread misinformation.

35 Days and Counting!

President Paul Biya and his wife, Chantal, departed Cameroon on September 2, 2024, and have now been absent for 35 days.

According to the constitution, if the President remains outside the country for more than 40 days, a vacancy must be declared.

Article 6(4) of the 1996 Constitution states:

“If the office of the President of the Republic becomes vacant due to death, resignation, or permanent incapacity, as verified by the Constitutional Council, elections to fill the vacancy must be held within a minimum of 20 days and a maximum of 40 days after the vacancy is declared.”

With only 5 days left, the President must return to Cameroon to remain in compliance with the law.

Things to keep in mind when you are dealing with unreciprocated love.

1. Someone who failed to see your worth doesn't mean you are unlovable.

2. Always remember your happiness comes first.
