Truth is your salary is nothing to them and they can easily see it as nothing. The reward to work is a good pay . These people who work for us have families . The death of MOHBAD has helped reveal the organizational inefficiencies of many Record Label companies . Can I say there is no Record Label company in Nigeria as it stands now.

Years ago, when you enters a Record Label company, you will meet a secretary, and he/she will interview you before accepting a CD plate containing your songs which he/she will submit to the Director of the Record Label company. The director together with the marketer and other top bosses in the Record Label company will listen to your songs. If your songs got their attentions, they will invite you for one-on-one discussion and after that , they will give you a copy of the contract they have prepared for you. When you go through it and accept the terms and the conditions, you will sign it. Henceforth, you becomes a signee of that Record Label. Then they will redo your songs to their own standard and push your songs into the market .

But today, we hear about YBNL belonging to Olamide , but the address is not known and no one knows how an upcoming artist can submit his/her songs to the Record Label for considerations. Same thing to Marvin's Record belonging to Don Jazzy Marlians Record belonging to Naira Marley, Spaceship Records belonging to Burnaboy and DMW 2.0 belonging to Davido. How do they operates?

All the Record Labels mentioned above are operating like secret cülts with the exception of Marvin's Record which has a physical address but we have never one day heard that Marvin's Record auditioned for talented artists. Their modus operandi on how they scout and bring in talented artists into their Records Labels is not made public. If they are opened to the public and operating like a formal business entity, many people wouldn't be coming to my inbox to beg me to link them up to Olamide or Don Jazzy because they will go straight to their offices and submit their songs and then wait for the company's call up.

Look at what is happening to Naira Marley. I don't think he had any official business ties with Mohbad. He had a group of guys who also had interest in music following him up and down . They lives in same house, cook and eat together, smoke and carry wœmen together. Whenever Naira Marley had a show or concert to attend, they will all follow him as his entourages. People seeing them with Naira Marley gives them some kind of respect. So when they released a song , people following Naira Marley will equally stream their songs. So at some point in time some of these guys would like to be alone as they have grown in music industry. When this happens, their gang leader will become annoyed.

This is the reason why Sam Larry said all he did was to restore Mohbad to Marlian Record but Mohbad was too greedy. How was he too greedy? What he did with Naira Marley was if you lob my shoulder, I will lob yours back. There was no official or legal contract that tied Mohbad to Marlian Record. Naira Marley simply felt bad that Mohbad was trying to leave his group at the time he supposed to start gaining from him. If Mohbad was legally signed to Marlian Record, why didn't he sued him to court.

What I have come to understand with so many revelations coming from many of these guys that had a relationship with Naira Marley before is that their relationship with him is mutual and not official. They had no official business ties with him. They were helping each other. So majority of these touted Record Labels are not really a Record Label companies. They are simply a group of guys with same interest in music helping each other allbeit one of them who is richer than them all will be acting as their boss and financing their lifestyle and that is the person the general public knows as the Record Label boss.

Few days ago, we all saw how Anyidons bought a new car to one of his Record Label signee known as Dikaboy. But if you ask me where is the headquarters of Ichaka Records belonging to Anyidons so that you can submit your songs to them, I don't know. It has no address, no official contact number or email address belonging to the Record Label company.

Odumodublvck recently signed to a USA based Record Label company. The Record Label company has an address and official contact information. Burna Boy recently renewed his contract with Deff Jam Records. The company has an address and contact information. But nobody knows the address of Burnaboy's Spaceship Records. Isn't that funny? Although some of these artists uses their studio as their Record Label Company headquarters. But let them make the address open to the public and tell new talents how they can submit their works to the Record Label company for considerations. They should stop operating their Record Label companies as if they are secret cülts. Same thing applies to Gospel music Record Labels.

Reekado Banks is a talented artist with numerous hits, but everything changed when he left – no shows, radio airplay, or industry collaboration. He was compelled to take a hiatus. Such circumstances can lead to depression or even su***de.

Where is Koredo Bello? He once had a massive hit song. And Dija, another talented artist, has seemingly disappeared. Not to mention others.

Lil Kesh, with many hit songs, introduced new school rap that influenced artists like Zlatan. When he left the label, he faced backlash. Labels often blacklist artists across various platforms, preventing their songs from being played on radio and Apple Music.

Runtown experienced a similar ordeal with his label, and his situation was even worse. If I start naming names, chaos will ensue.

Mohbad's story reflects the daily struggles of many artists in the music industry. These artists endure inhumane treatment from their record labels and bosses.

Success after leaving a label, as Wizkid and Portable have achieved, requires both grace and a sharp tongue.

Remember DNA, whom Don Jazzy signed? Where are they now?

To be frank, Mohbad's fate could significantly impact the industry."

Olamide dissociating with me happened when my dad requested for olamide's number says he wants to speak with him, so when I reached out to Olamide he said I should find out my self what my dad want to say.

When I told my dad what his reply was, he said alright just tell him that someone want to sponsor your music career.
