There are several reasons why you should travel for wellness.

Firstly, travel allows you to break away from your daily routine and escape the stress and pressures of everyday life. When you’re in a new environment, you can leave behind the responsibilities and demands that may be weighing you down and focus on your well-being instead.

Secondly, traveling for wellness gives you the opportunity to explore new places and experience different cultures. This can broaden your perspective and open your mind to new ways of thinking and living. Immersing yourself in different customs, foods, and activities can also provide a fresh perspective on your own health and wellness practices.

Furthermore, travel often involves physical activity, whether it’s hiking, swimming, or simply walking around and exploring. Engaging in physical activities while traveling can help you stay active and improve your overall fitness level. It can also be a great way to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the world around you.

Additionally, traveling for wellness allows you to prioritize self-care. You can indulge in spa treatments, relaxation exercises, and rejuvenating activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Whether it’s practicing yoga on a beach or enjoying a massage in a tranquil setting, these experiences can help you recharge and find inner peace.

Lastly, traveling for wellness can provide a sense of adventure and excitement. Trying new things and stepping out of your comfort zone can be invigorating and boost your mood. It can also create lasting memories and bring a sense of fulfillment and happiness.

In conclusion, traveling for wellness offers numerous benefits for your mind, body, and soul. It allows you to escape the stresses of everyday life, explore new places and cultures, engage in physical activity, prioritize self-care, and experience adventure. So, pack your bags and embark on a journey to enhance your well-being.

This fall, Delta is taking its one-of-a-kind wine program to new heights with the addition of 17 high-quality wines to a rotational inflight menu.

The wine service—available in all Main Cabin and higher fare classes—offers a robust and diverse selection of flavors, allowing customers to select the perfect pairing to turn their inflight meal into a fine-dining experience.

“While cultivating a list of delicious wines was paramount, Delta’s criteria in sourcing program partners went far beyond a wine’s finish,” said Kristen Manion Taylor, S.V.P of In-flight Service. “The final selections represent brands that share Delta’s values—brands that reflect the diverse community of the winegrowing world and lead their industry in sustainability practices.”

Partnering with world-renowned Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, Delta teams curated a wine list that’s elevated, balanced, diverse and delicious. An extensive vetting process narrowed hundreds of contenders down to the final selection.

Delta turns the Skies pink! Raises Breast Cancer Awareness

Delta takes the fight against breast cancer to new heights with a range of initiatives on the ground and in the air, Delta is raising funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

In Nigeria, a lower-middle-income country, breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women, accounting for 22.7% of all new cancer cases. With 12,000 deaths in 2018, it also has the highest breast cancer mortality rate of all nations.

Since 2005, Delta employees, passengers, and their friends and families have raised $24 million for research, including $3 million raised in 2022.

Delta will be flying over 4,000 daily flights where its flight attendants will be sporting pink uniform. Meanwhile, a dedicated Pink Plane will be flying to destinations across Delta’s International network as part of the airline’s initiative to raise awareness of the disease and raise funds.

Delta flight attendants will be serving pink lemonade onboard and customers will have the opportunity to purchase different products in the characteristic pink color - from hats, to scarves, to t-shirts, up to themed creations created by Delta employees - to contribute to the cause.

Women’s History Month | Two pilots’ inspiring journeys to Delta

Two history-makers are among the ranks of Delta’s talented pilot base: Aluel Bol and Khady Ndiaye, the first women to become commercial pilots in their respective homelands of South Sudan and Senegal.

Bol, now a 737 captain for Delta, and Ndiaye, a 757/767 first officer, hopes to inspire the next generation of women who aspire to take the flight deck. Bol earned her Delta pilot wings in 2018, and Ndiaye earned hers in 2022.

According to Sisters of the Skies, a professional membership organization for Black women who are pilots, there are fewer than 200 Black women pilots nationwide, fewer than 1% percent of all U.S. pilots.

CAPT. ALUEL BOL
“I remember asking my father what that was, pointing at the plane,” Bol recalled. “He then proceeded to tell me it was an airplane, and I remember asking him to buy me one. He just laughed and said, ‘One day, you can fly one.’”

FIRST OFFICER KHADY NDIAYE
“When I moved to the U.S. for school, my first flight was on Delta. Everyone was kind, helpful and professional. I remember thinking, I would love to one day work with a group of people like this,”

Across the globe, Delta celebrates Employee Appreciation Day and profit sharing

Monday is Employee Appreciation Day at Delta – appropriately held on Valentine’s Day as Delta leaders fanned out across the airline’s hubs to show some extra love to employees for their resilient spirit through another year defined by the uncertainty of a global pandemic.

A key highlight of the day for award-winning Delta people was the special profit-sharing payment announced as part of its 2021 financial results in January. People powered Delta to be the only major U.S. airline that will report a profit during the second half of 2021 – in addition to a number of award wins, including:

*No. 1 in customer satisfaction in the J.D. Power 2021 North America Airline Satisfaction Study.
*No. 18 among Fortune’s list of the World’s Most Admired Companies.
*Cirium’s new annual Platinum Award for operational excellence, presented to an airline with outstanding performance.
*No. 1 U.S. Airline by the Wall Street Journal.
In a January memo to employees, Bastian announced that 20% of the company’s second-half profit – totaling about $100 million – would go to employees. The airline is paying out $1,250 per person, with those who joined mid-year or later receiving $625.

CEO Ed Bastian thanked employees Monday in a series of videos tailored to the airline’s divisions: Flight Operations; In-Flight Services; Reservations and Customer Care; ACS and Cargo; Operations and Customer Center; and TechOps.

“We’re doing it because we will always - always - choose to share the success of the company with the people who make it all possible,” Bastian said.

Travel with confidence: 6 things to know about Delta’s continued cleanliness commitment:

Delta’s commitment to safety, cleanliness and wellness is as strong as ever, and keeping our communities safe has never been more important. Customers can rest assured that cleanliness is – and will continue to be – a crucial component of the Delta CareStandard and integral to the premium experience we work to deliver every day. Here are six things to keep in mind and look out for on your next flight:

CLEAN AIR
The air on Delta aircraft is completely refreshed 10 to 30 times per hour (every 2 to 6 minutes) with fresh outside air or air that has been circulated through industrial-grade HEPA filters, which extract more than 99.99% of particles, including viruses. HEPA filters are equally effective against all COVID-19 variants, including B.1.617.2. These are the same types of filters used in hospital operating rooms, and we’ll continue to replace them onboard twice as often as recommended.

Delta also has a longstanding mask requirement that is in line with federal law. Scientific studies have shown that the risk of infection onboard a full aircraft with everyone wearing a mask is less than 1 percent.

CLEAN SURFACES
Delta regularly cleans and sanitizes high-touch areas onboard our planes and at the airport. Our people conduct frequent and thorough wipe-downs of our aircraft interiors, check-in lobbies, self-service kiosks, Delta Sky Clubs, gate counters and baggage claim areas. We also electrostatically spray aircraft interiors each night with high-grade disinfectant to ensure no surface goes unnoticed. We’ve even installed antimicrobial LED lighting in some onboard lavatories.

CLEAN HANDS
Delta also has a longstanding mask requirement that is in line with federal law. Scientific studies have shown that the risk of infection onboard a full aircraft with everyone wearing a mask is less than 1 per cent.craft's boarding doors and bathrooms. .
