Lagos Demolishes Illegal Structures on Mobil Road Lekki phase II.

The Lagos state government has commenced the long awaited demolition of illegal structures raised along canals across the state. It will be recalled that the state government through it's commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab marked some structures for demolition and have served notices to affected people, especially in mobil Road, Lekki phase II, where this demolition is going on today.

Senator Shehu Sani of Kaduna state, has shared his pictorial experience as one of those who were at the edge of loose their lives, before they were rescued by the sweet hands of democracy.
He was at the forefront of the struggle to restore democracy in Nigeria. He has been arrested and jailed by successive military regimes and was sentenced for life imprisonment. He was supposed to spend the rest of his life in the prison, until he was released in 1999, when democracy returned in Nigeria.
Sharing this experience on his twitter page, with the pictures above, he wrote;
"June 12 anniversary;While I was serving a life sentence for the charges of ‘managing an unlawful society” (The Campaign for Democracy) and treason;On the left was in J-ward,Aba Prison,Abia State.On the right was in block 2 Cell,Kiri Kiri Prison Lagos."

This is Nigerian ambassador to Sudan, Mr. Safiu Olaniyan, addressing the first barge of Nigerian evacuees from Sudan at the port of sudan international airport at about 8:00 am local time. A total number of 130 Nigerian evacuees are in this flight, comprising of 128 females and two males. The flight is expected to be in Abuja, the nation's capital between 2:30 pm to 3:00pm.
