The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it's collaborating with local and international organisations to ensure the arrest of former
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
Bello was declared wanted by the Nigerian security agencies after evading arrest by the EFCC for a money laundering case.

The anti-graft commission had preferred a 19-count charge of money laundering to the tune of over N80 billion against the former Governor. The EFCC said the fund was allegedly diverted from the Kogi State Government's treasury.

The 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi Il, has bagged a doctorate in Islamic Law at the University of London, United Kingdom after a successful defence of his thesis.
The remarkable moment was captured in a video, which showed the revered emir overwhelmed by emotions after the panel of experts informed him that his thesis was approved without any correction.
The video showed Sanusi receiving congratulatory messages from the panel during a virtual meeting.
The thesis was on: 'Codification of Islamic Family Law as an Instrument of Social Reform: A Case Study of the Emirate of Kano and Comparison with the Kingdom of Morocco

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, on Thursday said nobody can accuse him of corruption as a public holder.
Speaking during the Michael Okpara leadership lecture and award 2024 at the Musa Yar' Adua Centre in Abuja, the governor advised public officeholders to live within their legitimate means and desist from engaging in corrupt practices.
According to him, the inordinate quest for wealth, and lack of discipline, among others are responsible for the unbridled corruption in Nigeria's system.

Speaking to Arise TV on the sidelines of DNC convention, Obi stated that this is not the time to get new private jets as Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world.
He also said that while he's asking for the amount used in buying the new presidential jets, there should also be a comparison on the ages of the new private jet and the old one.
