Significance of this worldly life in the sight of Allah

Sahl ibn Sa‘d As-Sā‘idi (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Were this world worth a wing of a mosquito in the sight of Allah, He would not have given the disbeliever a drink of water thereof."

[صحيح] - [رواه الترمذي]

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,

"Everyone from my nation will be forgiven except those who sin in public. Among them is a man who commits an evil deed in the night that Allah has hidden for him, then in the morning he says: O people, I have committed this sin! His Lord had hidden it during the night, but in the morning he reveals what Allah has hidden."

Do you want your sins to be forgiven, your rewards to be increased, and your rank to be elevated?:

You should ask for the forgiveness of Allah, The Almighty.

Allah Says (what means):

{And say, 'Relieve us of our burdens.' We will [then] forgive your sins for you, and We will Increase the doers of good [in goodness and reward]."}

[Quran 2: 58]

Asking for forgiveness is the successful remedy for getting rid of sins. This is why the Prophet peace be upon him ordered us to ask for the forgiveness of Allah, The Almighty, frequently.

The Prophet peace be upon him said: “O people! Ask for the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him as I ask for the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him one hundred times a day.”

Ibn Taymiyah's رحمه الله Rule of Love

❝When you love someone for the sake of Allāh, it is Allāh who you truly love. So whenever you remember that person in your heart, you are reminded of your true love (Allāh) and this automatically increases your love for that person.❞

In another place Ibn Taymiyah explains that when you love someone for a specific reason (what they do for you, what they give you, how they make you feel, etc) you don't really love them, you love that thing they offer, and once that thing is gone, so is your love.

To give us an idea of how important this topic is: Love is at the core of religion; it is a pillar of worship. It is your creed to love Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ more than anyone else or anything else.

And in a ḥadīth, Rasūl Allāh ﷺ tells us that there will be seven groups of people who will be shaded on the Day of Judgement, one group consists of people who loved one another purely for Allāh.

Don't be deceived by this temporary World 🥀. Many people of the past, who were Possessing numerous wealth, beauty, luxurious have disappeared to the extent that today no one knows about them. All these joys and sadness of this world are temporary. Don't exhaust yourself for attaining too much Dunyā except what is necessary.

Prepare For Ramadan-59 Days Remains

Ramadan is the time to elevate the soul from its base desires (stomach and private parts). Aim for your fasting and Ramadan to remove the love of the world from your heart; and let your soul soar high above the ground, away from the body, and upwards towards its Creator and Originator.

اللَّهُمَّ بَلِغْنَا رَمَضَانَ.

O Allah, allow us to reach Ramadan.

If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let the believers place their trust.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:
➗➗➗➗➗➗➗➗

There is a connection between the eyes and the heart 🫶 whatever one of them engages in, the other will engage in. When one is good, the other will be good; when one is corrupt, the other will be corrupt. If the heart is corrupt, the eyes will be corrupt, and if the eyes are corrupt, the heart will be corrupt. His heart becomes like a dunghill, which is the place of filth and impurities.

Consequently, his heart is not suitable to house knowledge of Allāh, love for Him, devotion towards Him, and happiness from nearness to Him. It is only suitable to house its opposite.

Difference between thinking positively of Allah and being deceived:

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

This highlights the difference between thinking positively of Allah and being deceived. If thinking positively of Allah motivates a person to strive in righteous deeds and it prompts him, helps him and drives him to do such deeds, then it is sound. If it causes him to be lazy and to persist in sin, then he is deceived. Thinking positively of Allah is hope, so if a person’s hope in Allah prompts him to be obedient to Him and deters him from disobeying Him, then it is sound hope; if he justifies his negligence on the basis of hope, and his hope prompts him to be negligentand heedless, then he is deceived.

Oh Muslim men, have gheerah (protective jealousy) over your womenfolk!

It's become all quite common to see brothers allowing their wives and female relatives to post photos and videos of themselves on social media for all, including non-Mahram men, to see.

This is concerning. It's even more disconcerting to see men permitting their womenfolk to venture outside without observing the necessary modesty, thus committing Tabarruj.

Honestly, this is very strange behavior. Why would a Muslim man be okay with unfamiliar men looking at the women in his life – his wife, mother, daughter, sister – who are part of his honor?

Gheerah is such an important concept in Islam, it is a quality that a Muslim man must have, it is part of his manliness.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There are three at whom Allah will not look on the Day of Resurrection: The one who disobeys his parents, the woman who imitates men in her outward appearance, and the
cuckold.”

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Truly, your Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills and straightens (for whom He wills). Verily, He is Ever All-Knower, All-Seer of His slaves.”

[Al-Isra’ 17:30]

Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“The words of Allah “Truly, your Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills and straightens (for whom He wills)” tell us that He, may He be exalted, is the Provider, the Withholder and the Bestower, Who deals with His creation as He wills. He grants independence of means to whomsoever He wills and makes poor whomsoever He wills, with wisdom in that. Hence He says

“Verily, He is Ever All-Knower, All-Seer of His slaves” i.e., He knows and sees who deserves to be rich and who deserves to be poor.

In some cases wealth may be a means of letting people get carried away in sin and poverty may be a punishment. We seek refuge with Allah from both.”

Tadabbur And 'Living' The Qur'an

Tadabbur is not merely about extracting amazing gems from the Qur'an. Rather, it should directly lead us to implementing the commandments of Allah and the Sunnah of His beloved ﷺ.

Imām al-Ājurrī describes the companion of the Qur'an: "His concern when he begins reciting a surah is, 'When will I take heed of what I recite?' And his objective is not, 'When will I complete the sūrah?'

Rather, his objective is, 'When will I understand the message from Allah? When will I restrain myself? When will I take a lesson?' This is because the recitation of the Qur'an is an act of worship, and worship cannot be performed heedlessly."

⚠️ 𝐁𝐄𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐓❗️

1. You wear abaya and hijāb but with perfume and makeup.

2. You're following the Sunnah and have a beard but you don't lower your gaze.

3. You pray all of your prayers on time but you have no khushū at all.

4. You're very kind to people and speak with them gently but with your family you're always harsh.

5. You honour and treat your guests well but when they leave, you gossip about them and talk about their flaws.

6. You give alot of sadaqah to the poor but you humiliate them and hurt them.

7. You stand up for tahajjud at night, fast and reads Qur'ān everyday but you cut your family ties.

8. You fast and have sabr for the pangs of hunger and thirst but you swear, insult, curse.

9. You help others but you're doing it to gain something from them and not doing those acts of kindness for the sake of Allāh's Glory.

10. You post reminders and have thousands of followers on facebook and instagram but you're doing it for the fame, not to please Allāh.

Do not gather all your good deeds in a leaking bucket. You struggle to fill it whilst it easily runs out through the leaking holes!

May Allāh make us do all of good actions for pleasing HIM alone and may HE be pleased with us always.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله listed a few consequences of sinning/disobeying Allāh:

• Lack of success
• Corrupt views
• Blindness from truth
• Corruption of the heart
• Failing to remember Allāh
• Wasting of time
• Avoidance and hate by the creation
• Separation between the servant and his Lord
• Supplication not being answered
• Hardness of the heart
• Decaying of blessing in provision and age
• Prevention from attaining knowledge
• Humiliation
• Insults from the enemies
• Constriction of the chest
• Affliction with evil friendship, those who corrupt the heart and make one waste the time
• Prolonging of sadness and grief
• Miserable life
• and Disappointment

All this results from sinning and and neglecting to remember Allāh, just as crops are grown by being watered and are consumed by fire.
