Reference to this I.V. and the reactions it generated from far and near, the entire muslim community of Oke Adini under the auspices of Mogaji of Oke Adini, Alh Abdur Rahman Ayinla, rose in defence of Islam by standing against holding of the programe in the community. This was arrived at after series of meetings that involved the Ulamas, community leaders, youths and the hostess Ajesikemi Olokun. The implications of holding the programme in the community was brought to fore. At the end, the community's position,that the programme as scheduled for three days from 22/7/23 to 24/7/23 should not hold in the community was accepted by all including the programme hostess. A committee was set up to ensure compliance with this resolutions of peaceful co-existence

The good news was announced by the Director General in charge of Hajj Missions at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Bahauddeen bin Yusuf Alwani at a preparatory meeting for Hajj Season 1444AH via a video conference with the Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Alhaji Zukrullah Kunle Hassan.
He said that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has granted Nigerian the previous allocation hitherto enjoyed by the country.
Other guidelines released for the 2023 Hajj by the Ministry included the removal of age barrier or limit and cancellation of PCR Test for the Hajj.

Monitoring and reporting hajj activities both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Programme of activities marking the 27th years coronation anniversary of His Royal Highness, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Councils, will begins next week Thursday.

According to the Leadership of Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association IEYDA, said, the event will holds from November 10th, 2022 to November 12th, 2022.

The programme will begins with final ceremony of football Competition Tagged "Emirate Cup" between AFON FC VS GAA-AKANBI FC
At Adewole Baseball Field by 2:00pm on Thursday 10th November,2022.

Special Prayer will take place at Emirs Palace by 10:00am on the Friday 11th November, 2022,

Followed by Second Edition Emirate Youth Summit after Jummat Prayer at Forum 13 Hall, Abdulrasaq Road, GRA by 3:00pm,

Finally on Saturday 12th November, 2022, IEYDA 9th Annual Empowerment will take place at Emirs Palace by 10:00am, in Ilorin Kwara State.

Photo News || At the end of today's Du'aau Tarahuum for Fadeelat-ush-Shaykh Abdul 'Ghaniyy Dhi-Nurayn Al Adabiyy famously known as Alfa-Aboto, the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasak donated 10 million, Alhaj Saliu Mustafaa, the Turaki of Ilorin, promised to empower the two wives after he gave them a new house and Alhaj (Chief) Dr. Abdul Raheem Amoo Oladimeji, OFR, the founder, Al-Hikmah University also promised to sponsor some of his kids to University level.

May Allah reward them bountifully and widen the Shaykh's grave .

Saliu Mustapha donates brand new house to Sheikh Aboto's widows

The All Progressives Congress candidate in the 2023 Kwara Central Senatorial election, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has given out a 2-bedroom semi-detached apartments to the wives of the late renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abdulganiy Aboto Al-Adaby.

Sheikh Aboto and two of his aides died in the flooding that ravaged some parts of Kwara state on Friday.

Their corpses were recovered by the state fire service from a river in Ilorin, Kwara state capital city, on Saturday.

The death of the cleric has however thrown the Muslim community into mourning with tributes pouring in from different parts of the country.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq had described the death of the Sheikh as a huge loss for the Muslim community and to Ilorin as a whole.

Mustapha, on his part, described the death of Aboto as one too many. In a statement he personally signed but released to the media on Sunday, Mustapha said Sheikh Aboto was a pious cleric who groomed and touched many lives from far and wide.

This newspaper learnt that the cleric died without a house, leaving the two wives and 17 children in a rented apartment. He was also reported to have left a paltry 15,000 naira in his bank accounts.

And apparently in order to ameliorate the agony of the families, Mallam Mustapha, on Wednesday, announced a donation of a brand new twin semi-detached 3-bedroom apartment to the two wives and the children left behind by the cleric.

Apart from this, the two widows are expected to be empowered with capital to enable them to begin businesses to support the families left behind by the late cleric.

Similarly, the families of the two aides that died in the ghastly accident with the popular cleric are also to be supported to ameliorate the agonies of losing their loved ones.

The gesture, it was learnt, was communicated to the Khaliful Adabiya, Sheik Mohammed Kamaldeen, who received the news with joy and prayed fervently for the Turaki for his unrelenting efforts in the Ilorin Emirate.

Kamaldeen also recalled that the Turaki had sometimes last year privately donated a huge sum of money for the completion of the Sheirk Kamaldeen Islamic University on the request of the Board of Trustees of the University.

Meanwhile, several high profile clerics in Ilorin have reacted to the gesture from Mustapha. They described it as timely and thoughtful.

Sheirk Imam AbdulRazaq Tonile said that the whole of the Adabiyah family, of which Aboto was a prominent figure, would be forever grateful to Mustapha for the kind gesture on Aboto's family. Also reacting at the venue of the prayers organised for the cleric at Ansarul Islamic Secondary School, Okekere, the Chief Imam of Ilm Central Mosque, Adewole, Uztaz Abdulaziz Aminullahi said the Turaki's gesture would go a long way in assuaging the feelings of the families of the cleric who died piously without leaving either money or material property behind.

Meanwhile, residents of Aboto Alfa, in Asa Local Government Area of the state where the late cleric hailed from, have applauded the kind gesture by Mustapha.

A community leader, Alhaji Liadi Mogaji of Mogaji's compound, Aboto, said this is yet another thoughtful intervention from Mallam Mustapha, who he described as a benevolent giver.

"I'm short of words. It is only God that can reward Mallam Mustapha for this. This is how we expect our elites to do in our time of need. This is what Turaki has been doing that a few irresponsible people are critical of. My advice is that in spite of their unfounded criticism, the Turaki should not stop. He should continue to be who he is. His critics have nothing to lose for they are elections season politicians who feel that speaking grammar without more is enough to lead a society or represent the people.

Kwara Gov mourns Islamic scholar Sheikh Abdulganiy Aboto, others

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has described as shocking and sad the deaths of prominent Muslim preacher Sheikh Abdulganiy Dhu Nurayn Aboto al-Adaby and some other yet-to-be-identified persons in an auto crash reportedly in the early hours of Friday.

"We received with shock and sadness the deaths of the popular Islamic cleric Sheikh Aboto and a few others whose identities are not yet known. As faithfuls, we accept the judgment of our creator. We beseech Him to grant the scholar and others involved al-jannah Firdaus," the Governor said in a statement on Saturday.

"This, indeed, is one sad news too many. The death of Sheikh Abdulganiy Aboto is a huge loss for the Muslim community and to Ilorin as a whole. He was known for his vast knowledge and great efforts in the propagation of Islamic message in the simplest form possible for his audience.

"We send our heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Ilorin Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the families of the late Sheikh and the others, and the entire Adabiyyah family worldwide. It is our prayer that Allah will grant comfort to all the bereaved families."

The Kwara State Fire Service with a collective effort of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Nigerian Police Force, on Saturday, recovered three corpses including the body a popular cleric, Sheikh Gani Aboto along Sobi road in Ilorin, the state capital, following Friday’s downpour. A statement released by the Head of Media and Publicity of the Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, stated that the three human bodies and a Toyota Yaris with Registration Number APP544E were recovered from a river at Opposite Olusola Saraki Abattoir, along Sobi Road in Ilorin capital of Kwara State....
