Nigeria emerge victorious in the Amapiano derby defeating South Africa on penalties 4-2 after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Troost Ekong’s 67th minute penalty was cancelled out by a controversial 90th minute penalty by Teboho Mokoena after Victor Osimhen thought he had sealed victory for the Super Eagles only to be disallowed by VAR.

Stanley Nwabali proved to be the savior for the Eagles as he saved 2 penalties for Nigeria.

Nigeria will face either hosts Ivory Coast or DR Congo in the finals on Sunday.
