Senator Tokunbo Abiru Applauds Governor Sanwo-Olu's Ascension as South West Governors’ Forum Chairman.

Kakalistiq Media reports that Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions, has expressed excitement over the emergence of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Chairman of Southwest Governor's Forum.

In a significant development for the South West region, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, was appointed yesterday as the Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum in Lagos.

Senator Abiru who also doubles as the Chairman of the Southern Senators’ Forum, lauded this appointment as a "well-deserved feat," adding that the prestigious position underscores Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership and his unwavering commitment to regional stability and development.

In a statement released by his media aide, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, Senator Abiru praised Governor Sanwo-Olu's "great leadership capacity" and his "outstanding contributions to the stability of the South West."

Expressing optimism about the future under Governor Sanwo-Olu's leadership, Senator Abiru emphasized the potential for enhanced regional integration and collaboration. "I join eminent personalities in Lagos State, and Nigeria to celebrate our amiable governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on his emergence as the Chairman, South West Governors' Forum," Abiru stated.

Highlighting the governor’s accomplishments, Senator Abiru noted, "This feat is a testament to the capacity and competence of our dear governor, which he has demonstrated through the effective management of complex issues of governance in Lagos State."

Senator Abiru further remarked on the strategic timing of this appointment, stating, "Our esteemed governors have made the best decision by choosing Governor Sanwo-Olu to provide the needed leadership in the South West at this critical juncture in our nation’s history, when regional cooperation and integration are imperative to the collective prosperity and well-being of our people."
