A passionate of Appeal for transformer replacement and Light restoration in Ihuokpara Community!

Ihuokpara Community in Nkanu East Local government area of Enugu state living in darkness due to vandalization of 3 transformers that supply the community with light! When we got to the Community we saw that the transformers are completely empty! PAFDAGIN!

In an interview with the villagers, we were told that since 6 years now this community have not seen NEPA light except if you have Generator

We Hereby Appeal to the Government of Enugu State through the Hon commissioner on power and Rural Electricity commission to intervene in this and help this ancient Igbo Community by replacing the transformers and restore joy once again to the people of the land.

This is a major road in Enugu State, Enugu East Senatorial District, Nkanu East LGA that connects to A major market @ EBONYI State, Ihuokpara community and A major market Of Agabi Kingdome ( Nkwo Ihuokpara) Nara Unateze, Amagunze and Ugbawka respectively but abandoned by the government ranging from Chimaroke Nnamani to Governor Ugwuanyi till date!

I'm pained for this neglect of Agabi Kind by the government!!!

We are calling on Federal Ministry of works and state to wane into this matter to rescue our great community!!?

Breaking News!

Ihuokpara Road now wears a new look!

Late last year we wrote letters to The Government of Enugu State and also to SEN Dr Chimaroke Nnamani , SEN reps Enugu East Senatorial District on the dilapidated conditions of Ihuokpara road through our Convener!

We also approached several leaders in Nkanu East on this matter 2012,2014 to 2019 but no response from either the governor, Senator, Local government chairmen past till date!

Then Ihuokpara youth decided to take the bull by the horn!

The drainage started last year and the road started few months ago!

Thanks be to God for this level!

Long live Great Agabi Youths , Long live Agabi Kingdom!

My visit to Community Secondary School Ihuokpara Yesterday 06-03-2020, The ugly sights I had created tears,sorrows, pains and bitterness in my heart!

I mate the principal and in the cause of asking how the children education is going and what challenge she encounters and that of the children, She then took me round the see that our children are really in danger of building collapse!

SS1&2 have no class room they study under mango tree ,casue tree!

Reason is that while they were inside this dilapidated old death trap called class room learning, one side collapsed and they moved towards another direction which also collapsed so to save their lives ,their teachers and principal decided to use under mango tree

as classroom as u can see below both the the buildings and students learning outside.

I therefore appeal to His Exellency Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi the executive Governor Enugu state and state education board, Nkanu East LG Chairman Hon Uchenna Nwobodo , counselor rep Ihuokpara Hon Sunday Nwatu to come for urgent rescue of our children in this school to avoid casualties and death of students and teachers via building collapse!

It's such urgent because they have less than two weeks for exams !
I also urge the Igwe in counsel, PG etc to do something about this ugly situation in Ihuokpara Community secondary school!

We are appealing to Enugu state government under the leadership of Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (gburugburu)
For urgent intervention on this street and it environ since this is not a federal government project!

We learnt that both the present and past government has abandoned these areas for decades!

Ur Exellency Sir pls save our souls from this gully erosion vandalized areas in Enugu state capital territory!

My meeting with Hon Sunday Nwatu( a.k.a Akachukwu) the current counselor and former Ihuokpara Town Union President!
Today 29/11/2019 @ his Office in Enugu!

The issues I raised and the question some of us requested for explanation!

1. The road that lead to Ihuokpara!
I was meant to know that the road is a federal road and not state, so both the local government and state have no power to tare the road but can only fill it till federal government comes in!

that the letter I wrote to Dr Chimaroke Nnamani was in order since it's federal that have the final say!

2. I raised the issue of the vandalized transformers and cables in Ihuokpara!
He told me it's only the incumbent president general that can rescue the situation! I will engage the PG after prayers tomorrow by God's grace

3. I raised the issue of Sch text book fees our poor parents are taxed to pay every new term #2950 and showed him pix as my evidence!

He then put calls across ,first he called the PG who denied having the knowledge of such, Secondly he called the Igwe and he also denied the knowledge of it but promised to find out ,

shortly the Igwe called him back to inform him that he called one of the headmaster who confirmed the headmaster in community central school Ihuokpara collects such money but himself doesn't as the primary school are under free education!

He then promised that the headmaster shall refund money to our people!

I also mate Rt Hon Ndubuisi on this same issues aforementioned and we discussed extensively on the way forward of Ihuokpara community!

Why are we abandoned or ostracized by Enugu state government on the issue of road construction!

The only tarred road that has ever passed through Nkanu especially Nkanu east were the once built Since 1979-1983 under the leadership of Alhaji Shehu Shagari as president and His Exellency James Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo as governor old Anambra!

Ever since then we of the region have live in misery and travel on death traps!

Enugu State Government umder the leadership of Rt Hon Ofeanyi Ugwuanyi save our lives from this DEATH TRAPS we have as roads
