THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH AMIKA ASSEMBLY PRESENTS HER REPORT FOR THE LAST SUNDAY IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY, 2024.
With smiling faces, members and guests trooped into church in fulfillment of King David's words; 'I was happy when they said let us go to the house of the Lord'. The service began by 9:23am with an opening prayer from Elder O. E. Ekpeyong. Bro. Effiong Bassey led us to praise God closely followed by congregational hymn; EHB 124. The district pastor, Pst E. A. Archibong gave a short charge to prepare the hearts of worshippers to worship. This was followed by songs ministration by the three choirs. Worship was led by Elder E. Asuquo, he took his reading from 1 Chronicles 29:10-14. Immediately after the worship session was the worship offering. Scripture reading was taken from the book of Jeremiah 26:10 by Elder Alfred Sampson. Ministration by Future hope Choir.
Sermon
The vessel was Elder Mfon Ating and the Interpreter was Elder Ime Williams.
They theme for today's service was AMEND YOUR WAYS AS CHRISTIAN and biblical references are as follows; Isaiah 59:1-3, 1:8, 2Chronicle 7:14, Luke 15:12-14 and John 15.
Some of the highlighted points are taken below;
★ For New Life to take place, you have to amend your ways
★ In the word 'CHRISTIAN' when the 'IAN' which means 'I AM NOTHING ' is taken out, what's left is Christ. In other words, without Christ we are nothing.
★ If you not in Christ, your hand, life, etc is sick
★ Christ is always waiting for you to amend your ways and take up a new life in n Christ.
★ Once man separate himself from Christ, the goodness and blessings we enjoy in him wilbe taken away.
Prayer for sermon was taken by Pastor E. A Archiobong
Tithes and thanksgiving by the congregation.
