Cubana Chief Priest granted ₦10m bail

Justice Kehind Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos has granted Pascal Okechukwu also known as Cubana Chief Priest N10million bail.

He pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The anti-graft commission filed a three-count charge against Cubana Chief Priest accused of abusing the naira at a social event, an act said to be contrary to the provisions of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

Alleged Naira abuse: Cubana Chief Priest pleads not guilty

Businessman, Pascal Okechukwu a.k.a Cubana Chief Priest has pleaded not guilty to charges of naira abuse filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

While being arraigned in court this morning, Cubana’s counsel, Chukosolo Ojukwu, opposed the charges filed against him by the EFCC. He has also filed an application for bail.

He is currently being arraigned at the federal high court in Lagos.

The new strategy these foreign airlines have now adopted is to force Airpeace out of the market by dropping their airfare below Airpeace.

What we should all consider is that if we help these foreign airlines to succeed by patronizing them because of their lower rates, what will happen is that Airpeace will no longer be able to compete and they will eventually start exploiting us again. Nigerians are one of the most widely traveled anywhere in the world and Airpeace is our only hope against exploitation.i hope you understand.

'He Is In The Mortuary' — Anambra Police Speaks On 'Burying' Junior Pope, Other Victims By The River Side

The Anambra State Police has reacted to the confusion surrounding the burial of the victims of the Anam boat mishap by the riverside.

According to the police, three of the deceased were buried by the riverside but actor Junior Pope and one other are still in the morgue.

The police added that one of those buried by the riverside has been exhumed and taken back to her state for burial.

Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said in a statement: “The Command on an inquiry about the unconfirmed information that the recovered bodies including Junior Pope were buried by the Riverside where the boat accident happened, discovered that three of the deceased Families accepted the victim should be buried beside the river.

“But later, the family of one of the victims decided to exhume the body to be given a proper burial in her State while the other two were still buried there.

“Also, Junior Pope and one other are still in the morgue and await the deceased family’s funeral arrangements, Please let’s be guided.

“Meanwhile, the producer of the movie and the two boat drivers’ Statements have been obtained, and other necessary actions/moves already emplaced by the Operatives as directed by the Commissioner of Police to determine the criminal liability of any person, if any, in the mishap."
