The State Chairman, All Progressive Congress APC Hon. Bello Ayuba, Spoke to Newsmen after the declaration of the Chibok State Constituency Bye Election.
Hon. Bello who Expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the Exercise, said he was excited with the outcome of the election because Borno State is a home of the APC, so he expects nothing less than victory.
"As far as I am concern, I am highly delighted to hear the out come of the results although Is not surprised, because Borno is the home of APC" he continue by affirming that Chibok State Constituency is also home of the APC, "the Late honorable Member, from Chibok State Constituency was also from the APC, so when I heard that we have won the election I knew that, that is what exactly we expect".
The State APC Chairman, led some of his party Chieftains to celebrate the Victory at the collection center, the include Barr. Mustapha Loskuri, the State Secretary of the Party, Hon Umaru Ibrahim former Chibok LG Boss, and other party faithful.
Borno is the Home State of the Vice President, Kashim Shettima and also having Three Senators all from the APC, Nine out of Ten Federal House of Representatives, 28 State Assembly members and 27 Local Government Chairmen are all of the APC.
Declaring the Chibok State Constituency Election results, the INEC Returning Officer for the Election, Prof. Baba Shehu Waziri, said the candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, Hon. Pogu Lawan scored 9,101 to beat his rival of the Major opposition Party PDP Hon. Habila Bello who gathered 2,117 votes.
Our Reporters gathered that the opposition Parties may be heading to seek redress at the court, due to what they perceived as injustice done to them, they alleged that the election was marked by irregularities in most of the wards across the elven wards of the State Constituency
