Windhoek schools and the Rehoboth community paying last tributes to the late former Education Minister Hon Katrina Hanse-Himarwa, who also was a dedicated listener, contributor, and sponsor of the cultural practice on Kaisames fm, Hanse-Himarwa made significant contributions to the community during her lifetime.
Her remains have departed Windhoek for Mariental, where she will be laid to rest on Saturday, 27 July

Tomorrow, communities will gather in solemn remembrance as Chief Petrus Ukongo is laid to rest in Fransfontein, Kunene Region. His life was a testament to unwavering dedication and profound leadership, not only within the ‡Aodaman community but for the Khoekhoe people at large.
Chief Ukongo was a stalwart defender of his people's rights and ancestral lands. His voice resonated daily on Kaisames, where he engaged in discussions that informed and educated Namibians on all topics and issues.
As we pay our respects this weekend, let us cherish Chief Ukongo's legacy of unity, respect, and the preservation of cultural heritage. His impact will forever be felt in the hearts of those he touched.
Rest peacefully, Chief Petrus Ukongo. Your spirit lives on in the memories you made and in the enduring lessons you imparted.
