📢 MyTOWN Shopping Centre is ushering in strength, power, and success for visitors this Chinese New Year.

The Year of the Dragon is here, and MyTOWN Shopping Centre is embracing positive opportunities and transformation through its festive activities from now until February 20, 2024.

At the mall’s Central Town (where the main entrance is), you’ll find a beautifully decorated temple and scenic red bridge. Take in the blooming pink flowers all around, and look out for the dragon that laces between the trees.

You can do your CNY shopping at the marketplace, with a handful of local vendors like Awesome Snacks, Good Kids, Jin Ye Ye, and Nono Fashion offering a variety of seasonal treats, traditional attire, or other trinkets.

As you wander through the space, you might hear upbeat festive music playing on the speakers. One of the tracks includes MyTOWN’s recently released song and music video, ‘You Dunno Meh’.

Made in collaboration with rapper and songwriter, WoShiJay, and female lead singer Jasmine Chong the lyrics touch on often-overlooked taboos associated with this festive season and celebrate a strongly connected community.

Other attractions here include the paper-cutting workshop, a lion dance workshop for kids, and various dragon and lion dance performances scheduled throughout the weeks leading up to CNY. Find the full schedule in the following pictures.

📢 MyTOWN Shopping Centre has unveiled its year-end holiday campaign to celebrate Christmas, from now till December 25, 2023.

With the theme ‘All I Want for Christmas’, there are activities, performances, and plenty of photo spots for you to capture lasting memories with loved ones.

At MyTOWN’s main entrance on Level G, step into the decorated winter atmosphere where a large Ferris wheel prop and a snow-covered bridge make for festive backdrops.

Here, you can also gift shop for seasonal treats from Awesome Snacks, bath bombs from LUSH, or other trinkets sold by local vendors at their curated booths.

Try your hand at a crafty workshop at the Notty Corner, where you can make paper-based keepsakes to take home.

There are also vibrant performances, such as The Magical Snowfall Parade at the outdoor Town Park where dancers lit up in Christmas lights will march to festive music amidst the snowfall.

📢 Desa ParkCity has lit up its park with festive lights to ring in Christmas and the new year, from now till January 7, 2024.

This year’s theme of the Light Festival is “Starry Nights”, and it consists of six mesmerising touchpoints.

As you enter through The Waterfront, take in the sights and sounds of the ‘Vinter Garden’ (Vinter meaning winter in Swedish). It’s where a 38-foot LED pyramid tree stands tall in the middle of the Field of Lights, which illuminates the green pastures with a calming glow of blue in the night.

By the lake, you can walk through the Starry Lights Tunnel, which is radiated by 72,000 illuminating lights, making it an alluring spot for photos of light rays and stars.

The blue Duva Birds can be seen softly reflected across the lake, symbolising doves preparing to take flight, welcoming a hopeful year ahead.

There’s also SØS (meaning sea in Danish), a striking sculpture of a turtle in blue seas, crafted from 2,000 upcycled plastic bottles, and delivering a message of sustainability.

The park has spots with Christmas-themed decor too, where you can take festive pictures.

Finally, Desa ParkCity will be lighting up the skies with their New Year’s Eve fireworks on December 31, 2023, and a little birdie told us that the best view to catch this is from the Central Park’s lake.
