Today, the nation marks the 86th death anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, paying tribute to his unwavering efforts and dedication to securing a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.
Born on November 9, 1877, in Sialkot, Allama Iqbal is revered as Pakistan's national poet, also known as Muffakir-e-Pakistan (the thinker of Pakistan), Shair-e-Mashriq (the poet of the East), and Hakeemul Ummat (the sage of the Muslim Ummah). His forward-thinking ideas contributed to the establishment of Pakistan in 1947.
His literary works, such as Asrar-e-Khudi, Payam-i-Mashriq, Bang-i-Dara, Bal-i-Jibril, Zarb-i Kalim, and Armughan-e-Hijaz, are celebrated for their profound impact on Urdu and Persian literature. Today, various educational, political, social, and cultural institutions commemorate his enduring legacy by organizing special events to highlight his philosophy, life, and achievements.
Respected as a contemporary Sufi poet, Iqbal's poetry transcends cultural boundaries, reaching audiences in languages like Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and English. His timeless contributions continue to inspire generations, fostering a sense of enlightenment, unity, and patriotism both within Pakistan and globally.

“O Allah, forgive him and elevate his station among those who are guided. Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for him his grave and shed light upon him in it”.
Do recite surah-Fatiha once and surah-Ikhlaas thrice for his maghfirat.
