Chanco TV is run by the University of Malawi (formerly known as Chancellor College).

The focus of Chanco Television's broadcasts is on environmental management and climate change adaptation, education, health and sanitation, nutrition, farming, entertainment and general civic engagement. Its vision is to be a leading television station in development content, and a provider of training and capacity-building for other broadcasters.
