BBC news in Malawi ) The ministry of water and sanitation through the Department of water Resources , would like to notify the general public that based on the forecast by the Department of climate change and meteorological services, the Tropical storm DUMAKO is likely to cause intense rainfall in most of the southern Region Districts , more especially Nsanja ,chikwawa , mulanje , Thyolo , chiradzulu , Blantyre ,18th February to southern ,19th February 2022 This is likey to trigger the rise in water leveis in most of the rivers in the region there by causing floods .The ministry would therefore ,like to issue a general notice to the public about the possibility of flooding of most rivers. Spokesperson for Blantyre police, mchiza, has told us that kalindo informed them that he has called off the protest for security reasons. BBC news in Malawi #) chief justice Andrew Nyirenda has certified as a constitutional matter the case of a 15-year -old boy who was charged with defilement for consensual sexual relationship with a girl of 13 year old . The boy was arrested earlier this year when the girl"s parents reported the matters to police. According to a court document Times has seen , the case will now be heard before a panel of three Judges who will determine the constitutionality of the offence of defilement, to the extent that it applies to adolescents,conseual and non -exploitative sexual relationship. The Egyptian Ambassador to Malawi Mohamed El Sharif has presented his letters of credence to president Dr Lazarus chakwera at kamuzu palace in Lilongwe. In his Egypt will continue working with Malawi in the areas of agriculture, heath and education among other sectors, He cited capacity building training as some of the programmes that Malawi has benefited from Egypt and will continue to benefit from. Let me thank the Malawi Government for the cordiar relationship with Egypt.
