First steps on the new Macau Bridge
Macao’s newest bridge is open!
The 3.1 kilometre bridge officially opened to traffic on National Day and is the fourth of its kind linking the Macao Peninsula to Taipa.
The new bridge features 8 lanes including two designated for motorcycles and special wind protection barriers, which will allow vehicles to safely cross the link during typhoons.
On Sunday, Macao News, along with 21,000 people, walked on the bridge for the first time before it opened to vehicular traffic. A historic occasion for Macao 🌉
