MICKOSKI SUBMITS PROPOSAL FOR NEW GOVERNMENT COMPOSITION

Uncompromising fight against crime and corruption and abuses of politicians' positions, but also quick results in the economy, fulfilling the promise of a linear increase in pensions are part of the program of the new government, which on Tuesday together with the names and biographies of the proposals for the prime minister and members of Government were submitted to the Parliament by the PM-designate and leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski. In addition to the prime minister, there are 23 members in the new government, according to the systematization of the recently passed legal amendments, which redistributed some of the ministries and created new ministries.

Mickoski emphasized that the citizens have high expectations because for the past seven years the country has been held captive by several people from the government.

"I have just submitted the draft program for the next government led by VMRO-DPMNE as well as the list of members and their biographies. I expect them to be elected in the assembly this coming weekend - June 22-23. Citizens expect quick results on everything this government promised to deliver. We didn't make many promises during the campaign, only believed that this country will once again belong to the citizens. For the past seven years, the country was held captive by several people in power,” Mickoski said.

The PM-designate added that he will lead an uncompromising fight against crime and will have no tolerance, regardless of which party abuse comes from. He also noted that they had recently received numerous reports of abuse that had occurred over the past seven years.

"We plan to clear up the suspicions and information that we recently received on all instances of abuse that occurred in the past seven years, we owe it to the citizens. I also expect quick results in the economy," said Mickoski.

According to him, the youth will be the main focus of the new government.

At the end, Mickoski read the members of the next government, which he proposes to the members of the new parliamentary composition:

- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport: Aleksandar Nikolovski.

OPPOSITION WITH DOUBLE ADVANTAGE OVER SDSM IN ELECTION DISTRICTS 1 AND 5

A double advantage of VMRO-DPMNE over SDSM shows the new survey of the Institute for Political Research Skopje (IPIS), which was broadcast on Tuesday in "Objektiv" on MTV 1.

In the first electoral district, when asked which party you will vote for in the upcoming parliamentary elections, almost twice as many respondents declared for VMRO-DPMNE than for SDSM. That is, 21.6 percent of those surveyed in March would vote for VMRO-DPMNE, while only 11.3 percent would vote for SDSM. BDI – 6.8 percent. Levica – 5 percent. The coalition Worth It – 5.4, ZNAM – 2.9 percent. Ziadin Sela's Alliance for Albanians – 0.6 percent. While 13.4 percent answered none. 12.2 percent said they did not know or had no answers, as did those respondents who did not want to say.

VMRO-DPMNE has a convincing advantage in the fifth electoral district as well. Namely, on the same question of which party you will vote for in the upcoming parliamentary elections, VMRO-DPMNE has a rating of 22.8 percent in March. SDSM – 13 percent. BDI – 7.3 percent, Levica – 3.2 percent. Alliance for Albanians – 1.4 percent, while the Worth It coalition – 2.5 percent. ZNAM – 2.8 percent. For no party, the percentage decreased from 15.4 percent in February to 13.5 percent in March. 22.4 percent of the respondents answered that they did not want to say. 10.8 percent of respondents do not know or do not want to answer.

A large percentage of citizens in the first electoral district believe that VMRO-DPMNE will win the upcoming parliamentary elections. When asked which party you think will win the next parliamentary elections, in March 33.1 percent voted for VMRO-DPMNE, while only 10.1 percent of citizens voted for SDSM. For BDI - 6.4 percent, while 5 percent voted for the Worth It coalition. Levica - 4.1 percent, ZNAM Movement - 3 percent, only 0.5 percent of citizens declared for the Alliance of Albanians. 23.5 percent did not know or had no answer. No party is considered by 6.2 percent, and 7.9 percent of the surveyed citizens did not want to say.

To the same question in the fifth electoral district the citizens believe that VMRO-DPMNE will win, that is, 33.5 percent of respondents answered positively, while only 12.4 percent of citizens answered that it was SDSM. 7.3 percent declared for BDI, and 2.5 percent for the Worth It coalition. For Levica - 3.4 percent, Ziadin Sela's Alliance for Albanians - 1.2 percent, the ZNAM Movement - 3 percent. 21.8 percent of respondents answered that they did not know or did not have an answer in the fifth constituency. 6.4 percent answered none, close to 10 percent did not want to say.

The IPIS survey was conducted by telephone, and a representative sample in the first electoral unit of 1011 respondents, while in the fifth electoral unit of 1018 respondents.

SEE YOU SOON OR GOODBYE FOR KOVACEVSKI

Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski is leaving "Ilindenska" with the hope that after the elections on 8 May, he will return to the post of prime minister, Vecer says on its front page. He personally submitted his resignation to the Parliament, which started the procedure for electing a caretaker government, which will manage the country for the next 100 days, until the elections. With the resignation of Kovacevski, the entire Government is in resignation until the election of the caretaker government on Sunday, 28 January. The opposition VMRO-DPMNE said that Kovacevski's resignation is the beginning of the end of SDSM and BDI.

The Parliament should vote on the caretaker government on Sunday by midnight.

IN NAME OF CITIZENS AND FOR CITIZENS: WHAT WAS THAT?

The "broken phone" game of the relationship between the government and the president leaves the public with the impression that the highest state officials either do not know what their real responsibilities are or, on the other hand, do not want to take on responsibilities and transfer their work to one another, Nova Makedonija says in its front-page article.

But in the whole case, the least priority is to determine whose authority it is, if someone's institutional engagement instantly results in a solution in the service of the Macedonian citizens, so that the citizens would be spared from such anxieties and humiliations with the replacement of personal documents. This is exactly why the state officials were elected: at the moment when they need to react quickly and meticulously "in the name of the citizens and for the citizens.” They should do that immediately without compromise, putting the top priority precisely for them, and not for someone else's interests, foreign countries, party centers, for their own personal promotion or amnestying themselves from responsibility, the newspaper commented.

The question is why do we need such leaders then?!

TECHNICAL GOVERNMENT IS WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME

The country will have a technical government and it is wasting precious time, Nova Makedonija says in its front-page article.

It is unlikely that our country will correct the remarks from the European Commission's report in the next period, considering that the country will be governed by a technical government from January. The mandate of that government will only be to organize the parliamentary and presidential elections, which, according to initial announcements, should be held in the first half of May. This means that the state will be paralyzed for almost nine months, the processes will stagnate, the economy will suffer, and the citizens will wait in vain for some reforms and improvement of the situation.
After all that, an even worse EC report is likely to follow next year, given that there will be no elected political factor to tackle the necessary reforms.

Retired university professor Borce Davitkovski locates the fault in the political parties, “which much more want to enjoy the graces brought by the government, than to sit down and agree among themselves on things that are important for the state and the citizens.”

AUDIT OF BRUSSELS HYPOCRISY

Audit of the Brussels hypocrisy, Nova Makedonija says in its front-page article.

It is extremely hypocritical for Brussels to react to the amendments to the Criminal Code and to demand a broad debate in the country, and was silent when the Macedonian citizens and the expert public demanded a transparent procedure and a wider public debate on the so-called French proposal.

Obviously, in the “European capital,” they react selectively, they remain silent when it does not suit them, and they react when they are not directly involved in some processes. They remained silent and continue to remain silent whenever the member states of the Union flagrantly violate international law, i.e. the imperative norms and principles jus cogens.

The interlocutors of the newspaper emphasize that our country wants to join the EU because it believes in European values, it wants to have the rule of law, effective fight against corruption, access to the wider European market, free movement of people... But Europe must also show the same, which means that if Bulgaria breaks the rules of the game, it will be punished, and not the Union to remain silent about it. International law must apply equally to everyone, and if the EU wants to set an example for the rule of law and respect for international norms, it should first start from its own backyard.

WE WANT THE TRUTH

"We want the truth to be known and to support the honest people who work honestly at the Oncology Clinic," said the activists who are protesting daily to solve the case of cytostatics at the Oncology Clinic.

In "Top Tema" on Telma TV, they said that all oncology patients are scared.

"We are all scared, what we have received, how we have received it, we are fighting for the truth to come out, so that we can continue to visit that institution," said Anzelika Koleva, who is being treated at the clinic.

It was for this reason that they insisted that the Prosecutor's Office accept four oncology patients to be constantly informed about the course of the investigation.

"Their task is to remind the public prosecutor that we are living people, with a diagnosis that in itself is stressful and requires struggle. And that there are people who are totally independent and the only thing that unites us is oncology. That what will be presented to them as an investigation will help to solve the case faster and there will be no ambiguities," said Ana Marjanovic, who is also being treated at the Clinic.

At the Oncology Clinic, there are therapies that magically appear and disappear, the patients accuse.

According to Dr. Milan Ristovski, an oncologist and former employee of the Oncology Clinic, one should first wait for the completion of the investigation because very little information is currently available.

YOUNG PEOPLE ARE EMIGRATING TO EUROPEAN UNION

With the thesis that young people leave for the EU because there is rule of law, social justice, rule of democracy..., are the holders of power in the country making a verbal (political) blunder and practically admitting their own failure in running the country.

Namely, defending the thesis about the three-decade stagnation, and especially referring to the issue of the need for constitutional amendments and convincing the public about it, they support the thesis by saying that young people leave Macedonia and go to the EU countries because there was a rule of law, democracy, economic prosperity, etc. But the key question is what prevents them or what has prevented them so far and why they failed, as a governing structure, to enable the rule of law, social justice, democracy and economic prosperity in our country. By the way, in relation to the last mentioned thesis, the majority of citizens are not clear how the constitutional amendments will bring the rule of law, democracy, social justice and economic prosperity, so that young people do not leave the country?!

IS THE LESSON: LISTEN TO WHAT WE SAY, DON'T WATCH WHAT WE DO?

There is no one who came from the European Union, especially if he is a high official, who did not teach us a lesson about how badly we deal with corruption, Sloboden pecat says on its front page. The case of Gert Jan Koopman, the European Commission's director-general for enlargement, shows that the EU is far more tolerant when corruption occurs within its ranks. Is the lesson: listen to what we say, don't watch what we do? Politico reported on Monday that “the European Union’s executive body requires all employees to submit their “outside activities” for scrutiny — an attempt to catch possible conflicts of interest before they become a problem. But buying a hotel in Bali? That apparently doesn’t count. In 2009, Gert Jan Koopman did just that, purchasing the plush Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort & Spa. Yet Koopman wasn’t a hotelier — he was, and is, one of the most senior officials within the European Commission in Brussels.” However, according to the spokespersons of the European Commission, there is no problem in this case, because, as they say, being an owner is not considered an outside activity. "Being an owner is not considered an outside activity as it doesn’t imply ‘doing something’ (an activity) in the sense of investing an amount of time that might have an impact on the performance of duties at work," a Commission spokesperson clarified.

THE NON-ISSUANCE OF THE EUROBOND DAMAGES THE REPUTATION OF THE STATE

The Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday the procedure of the Eurobond issuance would be carried out upon completion of the administrative procedures. Economic experts comment that there is great uncertainty about whether the country will go into debt again, what the interest will be...

Economic experts comment that there is great uncertainty about whether the country will borrow again, what the interest rate will be... The interest rate on the Eurobond, which was mostly intended to cover old debts, was 6,25 percent.

The opposition criticizes that the next Eurobond issuance is already very risky from the point of view of whether there will be interest after such a failure and if there is, “what will be the price we will pay, and of course it will be higher than today. Because with this behavior, the Government has sent signals of instability, uncertainty, and this will result in higher interest rates.”

According to former finance minister Xhevdet Hajredini, the negotiations and efforts to issue a new, different Eurobond will be repeated, but the prospects that we can find a more favorable interest rate are excluded.

The non-issuance of a Eurobond of 600 million euros opens up a series of issues that are kept silent. According to the information, at least one month will pass before the election of a new minister of justice, and then the procedure should be repeated. Will there be enough income by then to service all expenses in this crisis time, which is burdened with a large state aid, especially for the energy sector? Won't this move increase the interest rate that will be offered on the international market?

“The government should say how much the losses from the non-issuance of the Eurobond are, and who will bear the responsibility? The government should pay commissions to 4 international financial institutions that led the process for issuing the bond, this is the government's obligation, and this is money that is now being paid without a basis,” VMRO-DPMNE said.

The party blamed the government for “allowing the issuance of a Eurobond at a time when a change of ministers was being prepared.

BULGARIAN MFA REQUESTS THE OPENING OF POLLING STATIONS IN PRILEP AND KAVADARCI

After the Bulgarian citizenships, the clubs, the request for the inclusion of the Bulgarian minority in the Constitution, now Bulgaria is trying to establish an electoral infrastructure in the country, which in no way meets the real needs of the voters who want to vote in the Bulgarian elections. This is intentionally exaggerated to create the impression that there is a huge Bulgarian minority in the country.

Austria has already sent a message to Sofia that it will not allow the opening of polling stations on its territory where Bulgarian citizens can exercise their right to vote in the elections on 2 April, clearly indicating that they will be able to do so only in diplomatic and consular missions, which is a common practice. Experts consider that voting outside the embassies is a threat to territorial integrity.

The proposal of the Bulgarian MFA in Prilep and Kavadarci to open polling stations for the upcoming elections on 2nd April is another in a series of Bulgarian provocations if it is known that, for example, only one Bulgarian association has been registered in Prilep, which has barely a few members and which for its nine-month existence, it does not record any serious activity?! By the way, according to the results of the last elections in Bulgaria, held last year in October, 461 voters who consider themselves Bulgarians voted in our country. Of them, 68 voted in Kavadarci, while only 33 voted in Prilep.

MFA PAYS LESS MONEY TO EMPLOYEES
The Macedonian diplomatic union reacts to the amount of vacation pay (K15) that the MFA employees received, which is 9,000 denars. The union is demanding an answer from Minister Osmani according to which criteria the money was paid.
"We are forced to address the public because Minister Osmani continues with the old practice of ignoring the employees' issues, expressing complete disrespect for their integrity and dignity," the union said.
Ten days ago, the union asked Minister Osmani how and according to what criteria 9,000 denars were paid for K15. In accordance with the legislation and collective agreements, K15 should amount to at least 40 percent of the average personal income in the country. In September and October last year, the average salary was more than 32,500 denars, which means that K15 should be at least 13,000 denars.
"We are publicly demanding an answer from Minister Osmani as to why and by what right the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took at least 4,000 denars from each employee," the announcement reads.
The union asks "who will bear responsibility for the

WE ARE OR WE ARE NOT READY FOR THE UNION

Who thinks that the country is ready for the EU, and who is suspicious of the effectiveness of implementing reforms? the newspaper Nova Makedonija writes. Who claims that in the longest period of preparation of any country in the history of Europe for joining the EU, we were the best prepared candidate, and who believes that the long period of time was not used well enough for domestic reforms? Who thinks that we are already a good enough "state of law", and who thinks that the "rule of law" cannot yet be recognized as our attribute?

In an environment of different expectations from the negotiation process of Macedonia for EU membership, the question arises as to what our real starting position is.

Among the encouraging narratives about Macedonian European integration, hindered by a series of absurd conditions, not applied to any member state, not even to a candidate country, is that the harmonization of Macedonian legislation with that of the EU is greater than that of the countries that have been negotiating for ten years, like Serbia and Montenegro.

Even President Pendarovski, during the recent visit of German President Steinmeier to Macedonia, stated that if there are no historical conditions, the country's negotiations for full membership in the EU will proceed at record speed.

The priority of the Macedonian administration and judicial authorities must remain the fulfillment of the obligations in this area, in order to maintain the dynamics and progress in the negotiations. We expect the screening and the course of negotiations to give quick measurable results, which will qualitatively reflect the entire process and the overall social environment - Deputy Prime Minister Maricic said from Brussels.
The representatives of the EU and the USA in the country remind us of the challenges ahead in achieving the standards for the rule of law and dealing with corruption and organized crime.

The Minister of European Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Bojan Maricic says that he is satisfied with the current course of the screening but claims that Brussels is also satisfied because Macedonia has prepared presenters who realistically represent the situation in the institutions where they come from.

"For the citizens of Macedonia, it does not matter at all that Maricic and Brussels were satisfied with the current course of the screening because we had prepared presenters, when it is known that 92 percent of the citizens do not trust prosecutors and judges, when every day there is a scandal or a corrupt affair, when it is known that the state with corruption is in a group with Ethiopia and Colombia, when hundreds of thousands of young people flee the country every year. Reforms in the state administration cannot be carried out and fight against corruption by the same people who have been stealing from their people for years and divided the administration with the knowledge of Brussels," says Dzevdet Hajredini, former Minister of Finance in the first government since the independence of Macedonia.
