Medina of #فاس
Founded in the 9th century and home to the oldest university in the world, Fez reached its height in the 13th–14th centuries under the Marinids, when it replaced Marrakesh as the capital of the kingdom. The urban fabric and the principal monuments in the medina – madrasas, fondouks, palaces, residences, mosques and fountains - date from this period. Although the political capital of Morocco was transferred to Rabat in 1912, Fez has retained its status as the country's cultural and spiritual centre.

Mallah is one of the historical neighborhoods of Fez in Morocco. The neighborhood was designated for Jewish notables in the thirteenth century AD. The construction of the first navigator in Morocco dates back to the beginning of the 13th century AD, with the arrival of the Marinids to power, and the building of their capital in Fez al-Jadid, near the old Fez.🙏❤❤❤🙏

Bab al-Samarin 🚪 is one of the giant historical gates in the city of Fez 🙌, located on Polkhalassat Street, which separates the Al-Mallah neighborhood,👍 which is the oldest Jewish neighborhood in Morocco, and the new Fez farm in which commerce is very active.
The door was constructed by the Marinids in 1244 AD, and it is distinguished by its huge design and Andalusian character. It is a deep door with two or two arches, and is characterized by its vaulted ceilings in various forms.
It is fortified with its high height and the thick walls that protect the neighborhood, and on its sides are two towers of magnitude that strengthen their immunity and defense, as it is a model of the military fortification that characterized the doors and fences in Fez.💯💯💯

Old Université In The World
Do You Know ???? 😕😕

place is one of the few to have been built inside the Medina in the twentieth century. Large in size, it is an area of convergence and exchange serving the entire neighborhood, home to an intense craft activity. His visit allows to discover a typical district and many craftsmen or work, such as the dyers of the Sebbaghine street, just after having taken the bridge Terrafine. Overlooking the square, the R'cif mosque, with its elegant minaret, was built by order of the Alawite Sultan Moulay Slimane, in the 18th century. A narrow covered gallery runs along the edge of the square. The souk, which occupies the shops of the gallery, offers fresh products: vegetables, fish and meat, as well as the fine pastilla leaves prepared on a large sphere of metal and the famous dried and confit meat of Fez, khlyê. In order to better integrate its architectural, urban and environmental qualities, the R'cif square has been refurbished. Near the square is a small public garden, one of the neighborhood gathering places.

One of its most important features is the Soufarain Souk in the antique city of Fez, central Morocco, where copperware is embossed and creates the fingers of the traditional maker in the formation of jugs and saucers for visitors from inside and outside the country.

Mellah :
Here starts the Jewish quarter which is
south of Bou-khessissat street, it was also the first Jewish quarter separated from the history of Morocco in 1438. In this time of fanaticism encouraged by the Almohad dynasty, the Sultan, wishing to protect the Jewish population of the city, built for them a district reserved for Fez el-Jedid, near the royal palace

Jnan Sbil garden :
These lush gardens are a breath of fresh air after the intensity of Fez' medina. Although more than a century old, extensive renovation and replanting have reinvigorated the gardens' splendour, and locals come in droves to promenade the leafy trails, cool off around the grand central fountains and lounge beside the bird-filled lake – especially at dusk. The main entrance is on Ave Moulay Hassan, but there's another at the opposite end of the park.

All in Fez :
Fez is a medieval city, a heritage site, and for centuries life has largely gone on unchanged. You’ll find that with globalization, Fez has become a melting pot of languages. Most store owners, waiters and other workers know or understand Arabic, French, English and many other languages. More and more, Moroccans are happy to practice English and will be happy to tell you that Morocco was the first country to recognize the United States of America as an independent country.

Royal Palace :
The royal palace of Dar el-Makhzen, is a palace located in the commune of Méchouar Fez Jdid, in Fez, Morocco. Covering an area of 80 hectares, the site includes the royal palace, a mosque, a madrassah founded by merinids in 1320

Bab BouJlouD :
No one visits Fez without passing by at least once. It is virtually impossible, as the gate (bab in Arabic) serves as an excellent navigation point for the lost wanderers trying to find their way through the busy streets of the Fez medina. But Bab Boujloud is much more than just a handy reference point on a map. Its glittering mosaic tiles and grand archway have made it one of Morocco’s most famed gateways and a sight you definitely won’t want to miss as you discover the city of Fez.

Fez : History & Civilisation
The city of Fez competes with Marrakesh for the title of the most exotic city in Morocco, the spiritual capital of the country, maintaining its original appeal over the centuries as the imperial city with a minaret and an eternal dome on the horizon. Despite the collapse of Islamic architecture, which is one of the most important things that tourists are interested in, besides the narrow alleys with long historical buildings spread in every corner
This is the Moroccan city that you should not miss
