In a world full of love, hatred, peace, war, happiness and sadness; what keeps us going is the fact that everyone has a role to play in all aspects of life. Some people are kind enough to share little things with others despite their emotions and how people fail to appreciate the littlest things that stick people together.

However, we are always thrilled to spotlight amazing ladies whose hearts are made of gold; thereby putting smiles on people’s faces. Whenever we speak of contributors, influencers and exceptional way makers, women take the frontline because, they have great powers and potentials when perfect platforms and opportunities are afforded them.

For couple of years we have dreamt of an equal society where the word gender doesn’t exist, but it still remains a major challenge to change the misconception surrounding gender sensitive issues. In addition to that, people politicize even good deeds to the extent of not recognizing charitable people void of politics and power.

Nonetheless, we remain focused in channeling gender sensitive, social and other societal issues on our platform Women's Spotlight . With that being said, the first edition of Women’s Spotlight on January 27, 2021 will bring under the spotlight Office of Liberia's First Lady Clar M. Weah and her contributions to sustainable development in Liberia.
Kindly tune in to Freedom 87.9 FM and Freedom Radio Liberia on Facebook this Wednesday January 27, 2021 for an amazing edition.

Note: our platform is also open to men!

A few hours ago SMART Liberia posted a link to a GoFundMe page to help raise money to pay the school fees of 26 students they sent to the United States in 2018.

According to them, they normally raise USD $400,000 every year to help partially support each of these students, but they have been unable to do so this year. After several students made separate GoFundMe pages, SMART Liberia decided to make 1 page with a USD $100,000 goal to help these students who are stranded in the United States with no way to pay their tuition.

Please donate now to help young Liberian men and women get their education and come back to help Liberia.

Children are our most valuable resources; they are to be protected and not abused. They need to be loved and taken care of. Now, children’s rights are violated every single day by their own parents, guardians and even people in authorities who refuse to strengthen the laws that protect children. On this note, a strong and bold lady who believes in children’s protection will sit in as guest on this October 21, 2020 edition of Women's Spotlight
on Freedom 87.9 FM and Freedom Radio Liberia on Facebook.

Our guest is the beautiful Saykwayee Harmony Henry; founder of the Kids Development Initiatives and organizer of the Kids’ Essay Competition. Kindly join us as we discuss children’s protection and the Kids’ Essay Competition and how helpful it is to our children.

Liberia is a country where we have many underprivileged people. Some people die of hunger as a result of extreme poverty. In as much as we have major issues confronting a lot of people, we still have people who believe in good deeds and spreading love and little things with people motivates them a whole lot. Therefore, kindness cannot be underrated because it improves our quality of life in every workplace and community as well. Kindness puts smile on the faces of people; it brings unity and people who believe in charity and good deeds are to be recognized and appreciated every given moment we have. As today marks the celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, let us all be aware that every girl’s voice is important in society. Let her voice be heard and as loud as it should be; let a girl’s voice be her future. October 11 is celebrated every year to tackle major issues confronting our girls and to promote girl’s activities as a way of preparing them for the future. According to a report from the UN Women by Ryan Brown; the world is a home to more than 1.1 billion girls under age 18, who are poised to become the largest generation of female leaders, entrepreneurs and change makers the world has ever seen. With all that being said, kindly join us today at Smart Liberia from 4pm - 6pm as we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child under the global theme ‘ My Voice, Our Equal Future’.

Note: It will be live on our page!!

Day 4 of our community engagement
August 24, 2020

In an effort to fight sexual violence perpetrated against boys, girls, children and women, there’s no holiday for the team. R**e culture is deeply rooted in our society and it is our duty to educate our people on how dangerous it is and how we all can put an end to it collectively. Today, we visited the Larkpazee Community, Airfield, Monrovia where we took anti r**e messages to children and parents. Well, it was again another great door to door engagement and our messages resonated well. Thanks to our energetic team and partner HOPE Liberia ; for taking the advocacy against r**e to a different but unique level. Let’s keep fighting and always stand up against sexual violence in our country.

Day 3
of our community engagement !

As this nightmare( sexual violence) keeps terrorizing our boys, girls, women and children; we will not stop but keep sensitizing our people of the fact that everyone has to get involved in order to fight r**e. Today, we visited Old Road and its environs where we had interactions with parents, guardians and children about r**e and how their roles can be played when it comes to preventing it from happening. One of the best things at this critical point is engaging in a door to door campaign. Thanks to our vibrant teammates and Partner HOPE Liberia for today’s activity. Keep fighting sexual violence the best way you can and stay strong. Thanks to our amazing followers for the support.

Day2
Of our community engagement.

Taking the message to the people is one of the ways to eliminate sexual violence. It gives them a broader perspective of r**e and how they can protect their children and themselves against this nightmare that’s haunting our younger and elderly ones. Today, we had an amazing moment at the Sophie Community where our awareness messages were embraced. R**e is the only crime that doesn’t have justification. Join the fight and say no to r**e!!
Thanks to everyone including our able partner HOPE (Helping Our People Excel).
