We are pleasantly overwhelmed by the feedback we have received from the general public and agriculture stakeholders towards the Liberia Chicken and Drinks Festival.

The Muslim Community in Liberia has expressed interest in participating in this innovative event and have passionately appealed for a rescheduled date due to the pending Ramadan.

In view of the aforementioned, The Liberia Chicken and Drinks Festival has been postponed, a new date will be communicated soon.

Join us on our Farm Tour when we announce our take off day. We are going to visit some thriving farms in Liberia. This is an educational tour mixed with fun activities. This is a day trip

We get on a party bus to and from the farm with some good Liberian and African music. A guest DJ and Musician will be onboard.

What happens on the farm?

1. We interact with the farm owner through a question and answer session so participant get some education about what goes into farming and the economic benefits.

2. We fold our sleeves , grab some farm tools, then get to work. We gain practical experience by working under the guidance of the farm owner and farm managers.

3. After working, we cook some local Liberian dishes with produce from the farm, we set some mats on the farm and have a picnic.

4. We make a bonfire amidst barbecue at 7pm, then enjoy music from the DJ and enjoy a performance by our guest music artiste. We say good bye to Farm owner

Our Vacation Farming Camp inspires Kids between the ages of 6 - 12 to engage in activities related to agriculture, nutrition, healthy living, and life skills on a multipurpose child friendly farm. Children will have the opportunity to plant seeds, feed a goat, collect eggs and also engage in other educational fun activities.

Structured in a Positive Youth Development framework, this camping program fosters self-esteem, team work and love for country. Parents drop their children in the morning and pick them up after work hours.

We are collaborating with educators, early childhood development organizations and kids centered businesses to drive this project.

Cohesion among players in the agricultural sector is critical to national development. The Farmer Associations and Stakeholders Games seeks to achieve that.

On the 27th of November, 5 Farmer Associations, 5 Government Agencies and 5 Donor Organizations will compete in various sporting disciplines and other fun activities

All participanting Farmer Associations and Agribusinesses would display their products/produce at the sidelines of the games.

Agric TV Liberia is keen on complementing the hard work of the agriculture ministry to ensure that the agriculture sector takes it rightful place as a driver of Liberia's economy.

LIBERIA HOME FARMING CHALLENGE 2022

Agric TV Liberia is committed to promoting agriculture as a viable alternative to wealth creation.

Our Home Farming Challenge is an initiative aimed at encouraging Liberians to embrace home farming as a medium of feeding themselves and also generating extra income.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE.

1. Make a video of yourself working at your home farm

2. Post with your Facebook account and tag Agric TV Liberia.

The best Home Farmer would receive a cash prize of $500 USD, technical support to expand his/her home farm, a supply contract and also becomes our Home Farming Ambasador for 2022- 2023.

Entries for this Challenge would open on 20th June and close on 3rd August.

In an interview with the leadership of the Pig Farmers Association of Liberia (PIFAL), the President, Mr. Benjamin Byepu Jr, expressed keen optimism in the revenue and job creation potential of the business and the agriculture industry at large. In his presentation, he called on all stakeholders and industry players to come to the aid of the association in the form of funding, logistical support, technical assistance and so on. This he stressed would make the above stated dream a reality.
