FAITH PAYE SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS IMPRISONMENT IN GRAND BASSA.

The Resident Circuit Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit, Grand Bassa County, Judge Joe S. Barkon, today, Friday, July 14, 2023 sentenced defendant Faith Paye of the Christian High Community, Buchanan, to 12 years of imprisonment.

Faith was sentenced for the crime of Gang R**e, in which a 14 year old female was gang r***d on Palm Beach, Upper Buchanan, Grand Bassa .

The case was tried by jury and the defendant, a 23 year old female was found guilty on July 5, 2023 .

She pulled the victim in the water , opened her legs, and another person, male, forced the victim in s*x . The other fellow, Quincy Boy is on the run .

Ahead of the 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections, Grand Bassa County Superintendent Janjay Baikpeh has vowed to resign his post.

Superintendent Baikpeh said his decision to resign follows recent order by President George Weah mandating all presidential appointees aspiring for elected positions to resign.

President George Weah has mandated all of his appointees planning to contest in the emerging October 10 elections to resign their post beginning April 7.

Hon. Janjay Baikpeh was appointed as Superintendent by President George Weah since his ascendency in 2018.

However, in consistent with the President’s mandate, Superintendent Baikpeh said he will resign and focus on his political activities in electoral district 2 Grand Bassa County, the district of incumbent Lawmaker Mary Karwor.

Buchanan Magisterial Court Grand Bassa County has been allegedly burglarized by some Unknown individuals.

The incident occurred, today Friday, March 10, 2023 in Port City of Buchanan.

Making the disclosure to Tv Gbehzohn the Magistrate of the Court Judge James Kaba, said unknown individuals allegedly broken into the court and vernalized the cupboards holding several documents of the court and criminally took away a 3000-W Total generator.

He put the cost of the generator at about 350 United States Dollars.

However, despite ongoing investigation by the Bassa Detachment of the Liberia National Police, Magisterial Kaba is calling on citizens in the County to help bring the alleged perpetrators to book noting the generator is paramount to the daily operations of the Court.

LNP Invites Former Chief Justice and her home occupants for Questioning

The Liberia National Police wishes to invite former Chief Justice, Gloria Musu Scott, Gertrude Newton, Rebecca Youdeh Wisner and Alice Johnson for further questioning at the headquarters of the Liberia National Police in connection to the alleged armed robbery incident at the home of the former Chief Justice which resulted to the untimely death of Miss. Charloe Musu on February 22, 2023.

The LNP urges the former ChiefJustice and all occupants of her home, as named above to avail themselves at the headquarters of the Liberia National Police not later than 10:00 AM tomorrow, Friday, March 3, 2023.

Failure on their part to honor this invitation, the LNP will be left with no option but to take appropriate legal actions through the court of law.

Grand Bassa County 2nd Judicial Circuit Court has sentenced to 10 years in prison a notorious criminal identifies as Seth Koosono.

Seth Koosono alias Triple Two according to the Court ruling has been sent to prison for 10 years for Commission of the crime of arm robbery.

Seth Koosomo has pleaded guilty for the commission of the crime of armed robbery.

Recently, after spending several months in jail prior to the court final ruling Seth alias Triple 2, openly confessed in court of armed robbing one Musa Jallah and others by taking away many Itel phones and cash between July 31 to August 2, 2022 in Taye Town and Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County.

Meanwhile, Grand Bassa County Resident Circuit Court Judge Joe Barkon beyond all evidence established during the trial in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Law of Liberia finally ruled and has sentenced Triple 2 to 10 years in person.
