Language transcends borders.

is one of the languages taught at the Faculty of Language Studies of the Buddhist and Pali University, Homagama. Director ICCR in Sri Lanka donated about 100 Hindi reference books to Ven. Prof. Neluwe Sumanawansa Nayaka Thero, Vice Chancellor of the University. In the interaction the Vice Chancellor fondly enumerated the millennia old cultural heritage of 🇮🇳 and 🇱🇰. The Registrar, Dean of the Faculty, Head of Languages and Senior Lecturer of Hindi were also present.

The 2 Days of “Video Mastering workshop” by Techiegigs experts & “Stories of Heroes of Bharat” by Shree Narendra Pendse ji completed successfully. It had received an overwhelming response of enthusiastic audience! The children from Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Phillippines, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Oman, Germany, Switzerland, Nigeria, Kenya and USA had joined these sessions.
These workshops are being conducted to guide the chidren to craft their stories in creative way for “ Heroes of Bharat” Global contest.

An Arangetram is a significant event in the life of a Bharatanatyam dancer, as it marks the end of their training and the beginning of their career. The aesthetic language of Bharatanatyam is imbibed as a doorway to the creative possibilities into the vast ocean of divine art. Director ICCR in Sri Lanka attended as Chief Guest at the Arangetram of Thanushan Sathiyamoorthy disciple of Guru Lakshmi Sriharan and Guru Shankar Kendasamy on May 10, 2024 held at Sri Sambuddhatva Jayanthi Centre, Colombo.

75th Foundation Day of Indian Council For Cultural Relations celebrated in Sri Lanka today.
Graced by Hon. Ministers Susil Premajayantha and Vidura Wickramanayaka with High Commissioner Santosh Jha, the evening saw Alumni and awardees coming together for a cultural soirée.
Chief Guest Hon. Susil Premajayantha congratulated Indian Council For Cultural Relations for promoting cultural, religious and social linkages. High Commissioner lauded the role of Indian Council For Cultural Relations as the pillar of India’s cultural diplomacy, and of
ICCR in Sri Lanka in furthering 🇮🇳🇱🇰 people-to-people connect.
Pratibha Sangam awardees were handed over the cash prizes on the occasion. The evening saw the richness of Indian culture come alive with performances of Indian Classic dances and music.The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) celebrated its 75th Foundation Day in Sri Lanka today, bringing together ICCR alumni and awardees for a cultural soirée. The event was graced by Honorable Ministers Susil Premajayantha and Vidura Wickramanayaka, along with High Commissioner Santosh Jha.

During the event, Chief Guest Honorable Susil Premajayantha praised ICCR for promoting cultural, religious, and social linkages. The High Commissioner also lauded the role of ICCR as the pillar of India's cultural diplomacy, and of ICCR in Sri Lanka for furthering the people-to-people connect between India and Sri Lanka.
