Dear friends,
after a year of work, we could not be happier with the results of this initiative. Since the day we launched the website, we have managed to publish a total of 36 articles, with each writer having received a payment for the contribution. However, if we wish to continue with this project, we are in need to ask you once again for funds, as this platform runs from your personal contributions. This is why we are launching a crowd-funding campaign with the hopes of gathering as much money as possible in order to pay our writers larger sums for each publication and in order to invest in Analyse Lebanon's development. If you are able, please donate, if you are not - as we know the conditions are difficult for most people living inside of Lebanon - please share with the most amount of people possible.
Thank you!

As a species, we have separated ourselves from 'nature' by creating habitats, lifestyles, and urban visual experiences that are far from being 'natural.' We have also claimed superiority over the land and its various non-human residents. A lot of us experience tranquility when viewing a beautiful landscape, taking a stroll in a forest or dipping our toes in the sea. However, our definition of nature as well as our relationship with it can be affected by many factors.
How do you define nature and where do you find it? What is your relationship to nature in Lebanon, or lack of it? How can you describe your experiences with natural spaces in Lebanon and how have these experiences changed over time? Has access to nature become a luxury or a privilege and in what way?
Answer this or anything in between in Analyse Lebanon’s call “Where is nature?”

Email us your submissions or any questions on [email protected]
Writings should be 600 to 900 words long.
If published, writers will be financially compensated for their articles.

Home implies safety, stability and warmth. Basic needs that have become luxuries in our times. Many are trying to find it abroad while others are still striving to maintain it or create it in Lebanon. Some have never had the opportunity to experience it from the start. Where do we go when we don't belong anywhere? Can we create our own little bubbles and call them home? Has the concept been entirely disfigured and fragmented? Do you feel this land is your home? Could you find it some place else?
Tell us your thoughts on this in a 600 to 900 word article in Analyse Lebanon's new call "Home".

Email us your submissions on [email protected]. Writers will be financially rewarded for their submissions.
Deadline: Monday September 6th.

Increased heart rate, sweating, trembling, and a sense of impending danger... these are the most common symptoms of anxiety. Are they really enough to define it though? Each of us experiences anxiety differently, and we each develop our own particular ways of coping with it.

What is anxiety to you? How has it affected your life? How do you personally try to cope with it? Have you been feeling people around you getting more anxious?

Answer these or any other related question for Analyse Lebanon's new call "Anxiety".
Email us your submissions or questions on [email protected].

Deadline for submissions: July 5th
