Our Story

The Gwangju News, published by the Gwangju International Center (GIC), is the first English monthly magazine for the general public in Korea, first published in 2001. Each monthly issue covers local and regional issues, with a focus on the roles and activities of the international residents and local English-speaking communities.

The Gwangju News is delivered free of charge for GIC members and is distributed free of charge to international support groups, organizations, tourist information centers, schools, airports, foreign embassies in Korea, and legations abroad.
