A middle-aged woman, a mother of one, identified as Mopao from Ugenya, Siaya, mourns the sudden death of her baby daddy just moments after they ended their conversation, as she was expecting to meet him that day.

Mopao had talked to her baby daddy, Cliff, on Tuesday, 21st May 2024, around 6 PM. The following day, Wednesday, 22nd May 2024, Cliff texted Mopao on WhatsApp and asked to meet her that afternoon. Unfortunately, Mopao couldn't make it due to the distance—Cliff was in Awasi, and Mopao was in Ugenya, and it was already noon, making it impossible.

Mopao urged Cliff to postpone the journey until the next day, Thursday, 23rd May 2024, because it was late, and he wanted to come by motorcycle to see his son. Their conversation ended at around 2:07 PM on Wednesday, 22nd May 2024. As usual, Mopao expected Cliff to call that night, but by 8 PM, there was no sign of his call.

Mopao decided to log in to her Facebook to browse as she waited for Cliff's call, only to come across tragic news online that her baby daddy had been involved in a fatal road accident along the Kisumu-Kericho Highway and his body had already been moved to Othoo mortuary.

Since Mopao couldn't believe what was posted online, she decided to call his number to confirm. One of his friends answered and said, "Nyathi Ugenya, this is not Cliff. Cliff died in an accident and has already been taken to Othoo mortuary."

"I haven't eaten anything since last Wednesday. My heart is completely shattered," Mopao lamented.
