“Our goal with this film is to spark conversations about toxic relationships and inspire those who are experiencing them to seek help,” said .yu_ , the director. “We believe that by sharing Wairimu’s story, we can create a safer and more supportive environment for survivors.” The powerful film is brought to life by Auudi Rowa, , who plays Wairimu and Emmanuel Mugo, , who plays Jason.

"I always knew I wanted to be an actor. When I was a kid, I would memorise my favourite character’s lines (from movies and series) and do whole performances in my room. It drove my parents crazy, to be honest😂," says Ms. Karani in our latest edition.

Suzzie has been in the industry for about 5 years, capturing audiences in theatre and in series. One of her roles was Esther in Pepeta, the Showmax Original series. Link in bio for more.

Mama Rocks' artist residency program in partnership with KO, Boomplay Kenya and Ashleys Coiffure Spa provides a platform for local and incoming musicians to advance their careers. The first cohort of artists, including Clef and Bandana, Mathai, and Sachelah, have already benefited from the program by producing music videos and expanding their networks. The program aims to promote Kenyan artists for international collaborations and tours. Mama Rocks even released a single featuring the first cohort of artists named "Mama's House." The program has had a positive impact on the local music scene and will undoubtedly nurture the creativity of future artists.
