South African sensation left numerous listeners in high spirits with her new, inspired freestyle on the popular show “Made On Monday”.

The ever-energetic Sho lit up the airwaves, premiering her highly anticipated new track entitled “Kadigong’o” announcing that the song will be dropping next week - first release in two years and another one set for next month.

Known from her hit “John Cena”, Sho surprised listeners with a faultless Chichewa freestyle over Hyphen’s “Kuusumana” instrumental, and giving a special co-sign to the Malawian rap icon.

Sho Madjozi, whose real name is Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif, is a Limpopo-born sensation, who blends Tsonga culture with global sounds. Can’t wait to hear what Sho’s got in store for us!

Kenyan hitmaker teams up with , & American R&B star to release “LEO” - The Amapiano-pop single is produced by from a studio session orchestrated by King Kanja and music engineer Trevor Magak.

King Kanja is a London-born Kenyan artist based in America. He met his collaborator and partner Bobby V in Kenya in 2018 at a concert performance. They have gone on to record several songs together including their 2023 EP ‘Foreign Exchange’.

This all-star collaboration boasts a fusion of styles and multiple languages, creating a fresh, captivating banger with infectious beats and undeniable energy. Kendrick Lamar will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show next February in New Orleans, the National Football League, Roc Nation and Apple Music announced on Sunday. It is the second time that the rapper, from Compton, Calif., will take part in the event, but will be his first as the headline act.

The booking comes amid a busy year for the rapper. Earlier this spring, Lamar and Drake traded bars in a high-profile beef, which resulted in Lamar’s hit song “Not Like Us.”

“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date,” Lamar said in a statement. “And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”

Lamar last performed on the Super Bowl stage in 2022, as part of the event’s first showcase for hip-hop music, led by the West Coast superstars Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, as well as Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.

“Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” Jay-Z, the founder of Roc Nation, said in a statement. “His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”

The opening ceremony of the Paralympics will take place on Wednesday (28 August), with a total of 549 gold medals available across 22 sports. Africa won 63 medals – with a third of those gold – in Tokyo three years ago.

The majority of the continent’s success came in track and field events, with powerlifting the next most successful discipline for African competitors. Gold medals were also won in cycling and judo, with one podium finish also in each of football, table tennis and taekwondo.

Three years ago, our Cover Superstar was the youngest competitor in Tokyo representing Uganda, aged just 14 and 154 days, this year Kukundakwe will have a second Paralympics under her belt 🎉 At just 17yrs old, the future is bright and we'll be rooting for her all the way! 🌟🇺🇬🇺🇬

Today marks the start of the Paralympic Games, and Africa is at the cusp of a new chapter in its Paralympic journey.
