102.2MHz LUBAO FM is privileged to participate at the Sensitization Workshop for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), at the Grand Duke Hotel in Homabay County organised by Access to Medicine Platform Kenya / Medicine Transparency Alliance Kenya.

This forum brought together a number of Health Stakeholders, Media House Managers and key health care professionals towards increasing awareness and understanding among champions about the EPMM and ENAP targets, commitments, and strategies.

The discourse narrated through fostering collaborations and networking among champions to strengthen collective efforts and promote Knowledge sharing in advancing Maternal and Newborn health agenda.

A closure came in with the aim of empowering champions with advocacy skills and resources to effectively communicate key messages and mobilizer action for Maternal and Newborn health agenda.

COUNTY TO PARTNER WITH THE MEDIA TO BOOST GOVERNMENT'S VISIBILITY

The Chief Officer for Communication Mr. Joseph Abucheri on Friday held a meeting with local media practitioners aimed at forging partnerships to ensure County Government projects and programmes are more visible to the residents of County Government of Kakamega

In his remarks, Mr. Abucheri said it is essential to collaborate with both national and local media to ensure that County's initiatives and achievements are effectively communicated to the public. He further stated that with the new partnership, the County Government of Kakamega aims to keep the public well-informed and engaged on the progress of ongoing development across the County.

Representatives from various media outlets including Lubao FM's CEO Mr Fredrick Witaba committed to support the County in enhancing communication to the public which will also enhance Governor Fernandes Barasa's visibility to the residents of Kakamega County.

Both parties expressed optimism about the potential benefits of the collaboration.

Also present was the Director of Operations and Programming Mr. Charles Oduor and the Director Human Resource Mr Stephen Shisia.
