Wonder Wet is a record label founded in Rome in 2011 as a collaboration between Sergio Picciaredda and Attilio Tucci, (also known as Altarboy) two friends since the days of middle school still not tired of playing. Everything in life seems to gain sense once recognized, contextualized. In reality the same creation, even at its beginning, in its instinctive moment, the instant that it seems to stop
in the space time continuum, in our opinion it can't help but be influenced by the context surrounding it. Exactly in this sense, chosen already by our name (even if the name came to us randomly while joking around) this label brings with it one of the most distinctive traits of our generation: Ambiguity. Wonder Wet is a series of throwbacks of significances that conceal meanings. A slice of apple that doesn't drain the taste from the entirety, leaving the desire to savour the whole. Wonder Wet accepts the multi faceted variety of a reality that is perceived through its own nuances receding continuously without ever allowing a definitive interpretation. Exactly as House Music seems schematic but always leaves the interpretation to the listener, the infinite can be perceived even in a circle. This concept is found throughout the world of Wonder Wet, not only in its sound but in the projection of its actual image, in its music as expressed through the artists who take part and also in the conception of Wonder Wet's own Tuesday evening party (Downstairs) perhaps the only truly innovative event in the Capital. When looking at the cover of any creation signed Wonder Wet our concept can be understood through our photos which are absolutely explicative of the image and the art that we stand for. A figure almost always captured from a point of view beyond the shoulder, so that every time its own sensuality shines through often without revealing the gender. The excitement for a particular part without losing the satisfaction of the whole. The soul of the third millennium isn't the subject anymore, it's desire and its strength. Desiring what, we do not know but desiring continuously without ever being satisfied. We describe this with music, with images and with words but without judgement. This is us, full stop.
