The character of “Muso” is the toughest and most grumpy of the whole film. Violent, with strong addiction problems. Despite this tough aspect, behind it hides a pain that consumes him and makes him in the eyes of the viewer no longer only the hardest, but the most introspective. The scene set in the cemetery, which quotes Rocky, is also improvised, but it well represents the character’s desire to process his own ghosts.
In this movie nothing is as it seems at first glance.
The film "THE MEETING" is a mix of many things, of many genres. It's a gangster film, but it's also an insight into a historical moment that has touched us all, that of covid. The film is based on a simple idea, four gangsters in difficulty due to Covid are invited to a meeting to find a solution to their difficulties. Most of the scenes were masterfully improvised by the actors, but one thing was strongly desired, that of using a language that was not entirely accommodating and free of swear words. Between insults, disrespect and offenses of all kinds, the characters interact with each other, sometimes hiding behind this language a humanity and simplicity that should not be shown. It's not an inclusive film, clean of all those words that shouldn't be said, it's a film as it is. Perhaps confusing, bizarre, funny, but one that doesn't compromise with a reality that wants to sweeten everything. We were a little incorrect, but we like it that way!

We know the secondary characters of the movie!
Two key characters who play a fundamental role in the unfolding of the story. On the one hand, a corrupt and ambiguous detective who torments the four protagonists, also involved in something mysterious that will be revealed at the end. On the other side a nameless character, narrator of the film, who has implemented a mysterious and brilliant plan. Two characters with a lower minute but both fundamental! Don’t forget their face!

After using the pythons, there was another improvisation. The frozen mice that serve as food for snakes, become the protagonists of another comic-surreal scene. Tony asks Scissor to defrost the mouse for his son Tony Jr.’s snake. Obviously the reaction of Scissor is pure disgust. The mouse used in the scene is a real mouse used to feed the snakes of Ciccio. After using it, it was returned so it could be eaten. Strange things happened on the set, but that gave the film its own comic identity.

Secrets of the film:
For the filming in which Eiffel goes to the church, a modern church with curious architecture was chosen. Despite the choice, it was not possible to shoot the scenes due to the health emergency. For this reason the director, the sounder and the actress went to the church as simple believers, making the filming secretly, without anyone being able to pay attention to them.

For the scene between Tony and Ciccio, two real pythons were used. The animals, owned by the actor who plays Ciccio, were used only for this sequence.
The director, who has always been terrified of snakes, wanted to include this surreal and comic scene, despite having to work with animals.
The sequence, in addition to being perfect for the balance between Tony and Ciccio, is also one of the most successful sequences of the entire film.
Surely though, the director will not work with snakes again.
