We are thrilled to invite you to celebrate Anima Respinta dal Futuro in-store at featuring Italian sound artist .ciullini, multidisciplinary art project and Tocca il Futuro owner .pestillo. Daniele Ciullini and Mount Fog will perform live some excerpt from their latest works released on Tocca il Futuro, “The Double Face of the Zero” and “Fantasma” while Davide Pestillo will open with a selection of experimental, ambient and noise music.

Happy to host , the producer, promoter, drummer for the noise rock band Midnite Cobras, and a member of the project Stockwerk Null. His solo work exists on the margins of these genres, resulting in multifaceted, polyrhythmic music, influenced by ambient and dub traditions. His releases include work with Japanese label City-2 St. Giga and How To Dress Well’s new label, Helpful Music. Operating out of Berlin and Milano, he is currently recording a new album.

Tocca il Futuro invites the experimental cellist and composer . Her music channels emotional and physical depths, while exploring the liminal spaces between perception of space and sound, through compositional and performing practices aimed to challenge the listener’s experience.  Classically trained cellist, Bertoni developed her research and practices around experimental and film music, for which her cello and her original works are featured in numerous works and soundtracks for films, series and documentaries.

Expect some experimental ambience morphing into somewhat electronic-minimal style.

We are delighted to announce our eighth release and Daniele Ciullini’s return on Tocca il Futuro!

‘The Double Face of the Zero’ revolves around the progressive crumbling of the human condition, trapped in a Babel of toxic languages, hypnotised by seductive as much as false myths. The traversed architectures are empty or abandoned; inside, only faint echoes of mechanical rhythms reminiscent/incubus of models destined for passive consumption and the reproduction of consensus. Babbling, bare syllables are all that remains of a one-way communication. The new alphabets of communication systems do not need expressive space but consensus time. This journey is closed, however, by a text that is, in its own way, full of hope and that, like a compass, indicates a possible escape route from this mortal spiral of spectacular-media-political consensus. The sound sources from which the work originates are multiple. All electronically processed so as not to show their origin, in order to place themselves in an “other” space. All this not out of sonic sa**sm but out of a desire to elaborate a sound palette that is as personal as possible. A palette of sounds that tries to place itself outside the fences and categories that delimit even the area of research music, which instead, by definition, should be as model-free as possible.

Two years after the release of the first Tocca il Futuro compilation, we are happy to announce the second volume. For this occasion, we decided to donate the proceeds of the sales to the victims of the earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey on 6 February 2023 through the Croce Rossa Italiana association.

Special thanks to Davide Pepe, a multidisciplinary Italian artist, who contributed to the graphic design of the compilation with an image created from the waves of the sea eroding the beach, thus creating a visual effect of the earth rising.

We are super excited to unveil a special collaboration between Mount Fog and the painter and engraver Pietro Brocchetta: he worked on a personal interpretation of ‘Fantasma’ and the sound installation at the Chiaravalle Abbey, by crafting a splendid original relief engraving, hand-printed in the artist’s studio in Pavia, Italy.

Active since the 1980s, Pietro Brocchetta made his debut with a classic figurative landscape style, to later move on to new figuration, hyperrealism and metaphysics. More recently his work has shifted to abstract symbolism.

‘Torre Nolare, Abbazia di Chiaravalle’ is available as a very limited edition of 8 on Hahnemühle paper (black ink on white), 8 on heavy black paper (black ink on black), plus 7 artist’s proofs on heavy black paper (without color), all signed and numbered.

Also available as a bundle with the cassette.

Tocca il futuro and SOAVE Records are happy to announce Tiziano Popoli’s new release 'Sull'Accordo Mimetico'.
A sound installation commissioned by Marco Paolini, artistic director of the ParcoScenico Festival, held in Treviso, Italy, in the early 80’s.

“Sull’Accordo Mimetico was commissioned by the Italian actor and director Marco Paolini, who - at the time - was the artistic director of the ParcoScenico Festival, held in Treviso, Italy. Since the area where artists and the public gathered after the Festival was located to a very busy street, Marco asked me for a sound installation that could work as some sort of a defensive barrier for the street noise. I suggested that my work, rather than hiding the noise should aim to harmonize the disturbances coming from the street within musical structures and forms, without burdening or saturating too much the acoustic spectrum of the place. In this way, I thought about sonic veils, consisting of repetitive - but also light and discreet - harmonic-rhythmic structures, since the Festival took place in a beautiful centenary park, i also integrated the music with natural sounds and animal calls, always as an attempt to bridge these sound events and the other materials that made up the composition. The human voice constitutes a central element in this musique d'ameublement project, as a constant source of memory of places and times - here with many references to traditional music for children. In its original form, the work consisted of three 2-track magnetic tapes, lasting about 30 minutes each, which were broadcast in sequence. This
edition represents a synthesis of the original installation, with a total duration of approximately 56 minutes.”

We are pleased to announce our fourth release ‘Immersion’ produced by Anatolian Weapons!
Today is also the Bandcamp friday and for this occasion we decided to devolve all proceeds of TIF004 for charity to help the Ukrainians stand out from this tragic situation.

“The sea knocks on the doors of your unconscious. Wait, it is not something real, it has no chemical trait vaguely similar to water. Rather, it is a metallic fluid, a sea of liquid mercury stretching along the shell of a parallel planet. In this place, floating lights have fun switching off, reigniting, they strengthen generating, emitting electrical discharges of different intensities. In the immersion, the metallic fluid plays as a mind mirror, lights are memory traces, the descent into depths is a fragmented journey in lysergic apnoea, you emerge getting the old oxygen of reality.”

We’re happy to host the Italian-Swedish multidisciplinary art project Mount Fog, established in 2011 by Nicola Domaneschi, Erich Grunewald and Marco Verdi. Their research focuses mainly on sound art and documentary photography, with a particular interest in sound perception, the human-made landscape, human-nature interaction, and the symbolic representation of architecture and artefacts. For this show they selected one hour of music ranging from abstract, field recordings, ambient and modern experimental music, collecting sounds from a diverse set of musical styles, materials, sources, that somehow we felt connected with an hypothetical, imaginative exploration of auditory illusions, “sonic phantoms”, sound perception, and spectralism. This mix also includes their own forthcoming track ‘Fantasma’, out soon on Tocca il futuro.
