Cursebinder just announced their next two headlining shows in Poland, scheduled for March 14th in Warsaw and March 15th in Krakow.

Possibly our most overlooked release in 2023, Cursebinder's debut album Drifting is a fascinating, psychedelic black metal voyage exploring the ways in which human ambition and greed repeatedly crash in the face of natural order, and how feelings of restlessness, disconnection and cold isolation permeate the modern world.

Give it a spin and attend if you can, you won't be disappointed.

It's awesome to see such great feedbacks for Grey Aura's new single "Opgehangen afgrond" (available for streaming worldwide, on YouTube and Bandcamp), and we're sure you won't be disappointed by the whole Zwart vierkant: Slotstuk.

If you have the chance, do yourself a favor and attend the band's gig at Roadburn Festival, where they will perform the album in its entirety.

After a decade of silence, Danish black funeral doom artist Nortt returns with Dødssang, a new full-length album set for release through Avantgarde Music on March 28th, 2025.

Dødssang, Danish for death song, marks Nortt’s first release since 2017’s Endeligt, yet time has only deepened the artist’s dedication to sonic misery. With its suffocating atmosphere and unrelenting gloom, the album reaffirms Nortt’s place at the forefront of funeral doom’s bleakest expressions.

📣 Autumn's Dawn signs to Avantgarde Music and announces a new studio album.

Autumn's Dawn is an Australian metal band formed in 2014 by two seasoned musicians, Tim Yatras (known as Sorrow, founding member of Austere, Germ and many other bands) and Matthew Bell (known as Anguish, member of Tjaktjadálvve, Skuggor among the many). Both artists were already recognized in the Australian metal scene for their involvement in various other projects before coming together to create a band that would blend elements of black metal, depressive rock, and atmospheric music.

The inception of Autumn’s Dawn marked a departure from the traditional black metal sound that both members were known for, aiming instead to craft music that captured a broader emotional spectrum. Their debut album, Gone, was released in 2014 via Eisenwald Tonschmiede. The album was well-received, praised for its melancholic melodies, emotive lyrics, and the seamless integration of various metal subgenres. 2020 saw the release of sophomore record Dying Ember, following which the band spent a quiet few years, before coming back with their third record, We Lost Our Hope Along The Way, scheduled for spring 2025.

A first single, “Far From Home”, can now be streamed via YouTube. Further details will follow in the coming weeks.

It's been in the making for months (well, years really), and today we can finally announce the first Avantgarde Music Festival will be held at Legend Club Milano on September 20th, 2025, in collaboration with Occult Booking.

Today we announce the two headliners: Mesarthim, who will play their only live show of 2025, and our very special guest DHG/Dødheimsgard Official, coming back to Italy for the first time since 2013. Six more bands will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets can be purchased via DICE and a special early bird price of 39€ + commission will be available till February 9th. Link in the first comment.

Grey Aura will perform at Roadburn Festival to celebrate the release of their incoming album "Zwart vierkant: Slotstuk", due out in March!

Preorders will open soon, meanwhile you can listen to their first single, available on Bandcamp, Youtube and any streaming platform of your choice.

On April 19, we will perform 'Zwart vierkant: Slotstuk' in its entirety for the first time at Roadburn Festival. We're looking forward to bringing the climax of our concept to life on stage.

A Scarlet Sunset Over The Horrid Abyss features poetry by Andrei Bely, symbolist Russian poet from the early XX century, as well as archival photographs taken in the Kolyma camps — one of the most terrible places in the new history of Russia, a remote, eastern area of the Russian country where dozens of gulags held Soviet POWs and political prisoners in extreme conditions until the ‘70s.

We recently reached an agreement with Nexion to keep on working together on their sophomore studio album. The Icelandic band will release the follow up to "Seven Oracles" via Avantgarde Music later this year.

In the meantime, you can have a taste of what the album sounds like thank to the first single, "Gandr", the videoclip of which is available on YouTube (link in the first comment).

Grey Aura signs to Avantgarde Music and announces a new studio album! A new single is available in the first comment.

Dutch avantgarde metal outfit Grey Aura is back with their third full-length studio album! Four years after the acclaimed Zwart vierkant, the Utrecht-based quartet is ready to release Zwart vierkant: Slotstuk, a new, unpredictable journey through art and music. The first single “Opgehangen afgrond” is a first taste of what Grey Aura have been working on in the last few years.

Zwart vierkant: Slotstuk (Black Square: Finale, Final Piece) continues Grey Aura’s journey into the intersection of abstract art and psychological disintegration. Building on themes from their 2021 album, Zwart vierkant, the new work delves into the second half of Ruben Wijlacker’s novel, De protodood in zwarte haren. This story follows Pedro, a 20th-century Modernist painter whose attempt to dismantle physical reality through abstraction leads him to the brink of madness.

Drawn to the avant-garde movement of Suprematism, Pedro becomes captivated by Kazimir Malevich’s ‘Black Square’: an emblem of pure abstract feeling and the rejection of natural representation. To him, the painting’s void is not merely an end but a gateway to boundless artistic potential and spiritual enlightenment.

Within this black square, Pedro envisions his muse, Chauchat—a Wallonian poet and the wife of another collective member. Their elusive romance reflects the essence of abstraction: an existence more imagined than tangible, always slipping beyond his reach.

As his obsession grows, Pedro convinces a group of Utrecht artists to join him in creating a Gesamtkunstwerk—a three-dimensional embodiment of the black square. His unrelenting drive pushes the collective toward bizarre tasks and even criminal acts, all in service of his radical vision.

The story reaches its climax when Pedro unveils his ultimate creation: an empty void, a chilling representation of the death of the physical realm and the culmination of his artistic ideology.

Zwart vierkant: Slotstuk will be out via Avantgarde Music on March 28th on CD, LP and digital. Preorders will be available in February.
