Created by Curtin // Keating, SIT STAND SMOKE explores some of the motivations and circumstances that led to the creation of Seán Keating’s iconic painting, Men of the South (1921-22). This is the fourth of our six BUILDING AS WITNESS artist projects.

Tomorrow, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is hosting a screening of Wall-E, followed by a talk with four-time Oscar-winning sound designer Ben Burtt. The talk will feature Burtt's new sci-fi installation piece, Behold, which showcases some of the most famous robots and creatures in Hollywood history. Behold is part of the "Inventing Worlds and Characters: Encounters" gallery in the museum's "Stories of Cinema" exhibition, and features about 100 sci-fi films.
