Persian hip hop (or Iranian hip hop, Mona Lisa Overdrive) is a style of hip hop that emerged in the 1990s based in Iran (Persia) and mostly comes in farsi (persian) language. Political Rap : Persian hip hop was known as gangsta-rap and pary rap till 2003. By 2003 few political tracks had been released on the internet and the Iranian satellite channels by "Deev". Social rap : Social rap is one of the main genders within rap music in iran.This style of rap is also more accepted by the Iranian authorities as it usually does not include political messages. Popular rap (6/8 clave) : This genre is mainly driven from Iranian pop music which is locally referred to as 6/8 clave. Some of the artist working on this type of rap music include Shahkar Binesh Pazhooh, Nima Nimosh, Hossein Tohi, Amir Tataloo, Saeed Kermani, Sasy Mankan (...) .unfortunately lately Papular rap has been treated disrespectfully in iran.
